In the December 26 bombing mission.

How to understand what the purpose to intercept them there is a lot on the screen.

There are so many!

Soooo, hahaha you got "The sorcerer stone", hahhaha :))) Thanks!

Serious, very strange pattern of missile path, going up, then after "Blackbird", and the spinning one... MAybe Vietnamese disabled the selfdestruction mechanizm, and try to use them in their passive flight...

That is 100 meters can not be intercepted.

Yes, but many aircraft Dvina can not, can only one purpose, to be like?

Hpasp, what is "low PRF" / "high PRF" in CIA reports used to describe FAN SONG activity? 120/60 km modes?

Piston, so was it real kill or not? Did all the missiles fly in KS mode?

My question!

As you can knock them all with noise at low altitudes.

As Table 4 km can only target height, and as if the height of 1 km.

Low PRF is 110/150 km mode, High PRF - 75/55 km.

It is real, just when I shot first one, didn't hear the sound and understand I didn't switch to "Boynaya rabota"... So, second and third were in "Boynaya rabota", but due to my "elektronic shot" frightened "Habu", the AAR, shows only the distance of the target in the moment of the "blank shot"... Then my forth missile was lost, because falling "Habu" overshooted me, and I was too exited, and didn't realized I could wait a bit and shoot it in "dogon"... So, were is my medal, anyway? biggrin winner

Those AAR in Vietnam are really great feats! My best feat and most thrilling mission so far (I'm only a recent SAM simulator player) was in the 1970-Cairo "War of Attrition" scenario and in the second mission (VI.30 - 18:18) while manning the 5/10 SAM Battery (SA-2F).

In this mission I was able to shot down 3 A-4E and 1 F-4E! These guys and nasty as hell, they fly very low and it's hard to spot and shoot them with the ground clutter in the mix!
Anyway here's the AAR of that mission:

Quote:
18:18pm 30th of June 1970
First attack wave, against Cairo air defense.

Targets:
3rd Battery of the 5th Air Defense Missile Brigade
9th Battery of the 5th Air Defense Missile Brigade
10th Battery of the 5th Air Defense Missile Brigade
11th Battery of the 5th Air Defense Missile Brigade

Attacking Force:
8 F-4E Kurnass
8 A-4E Ahit

Oh BTW, I have one bug to report:

In the 1970-Cairo "War of Attrition" scenario if you play the 3rd mission (VI.30 - 19:12) and 4th mission (VII.2 - 17:30) of that scenario while choosing the SA-2F SAM system, the player can't select a playable battery and if the player starts the mission the player will be set in a "imaginary" battery located somewhere north of Cairo and well outside the "action area".
If the player selects the an SA-3 SAM system (which BTW are located away from the target/action area) or instead a SA-2E SAM system with the "Allow non-historical scenario" set to ON than everything works OK.

Weasel fur, anyone?
(Dvina: 4x F-105, 3x F-4, avoided 3 Shrikes)
SNR on air for 9 minutes - I wonder, would I have survived?

No! nope

You would have been immediately sent to GULAG!
You launched your valuable missiles against invaluable targets, while your capital was bombed to ash.
Your task is to DEFEND YOUR CAPITAL against the BOMBERS, by preventing the bombing!!!

Nice fight!

Good find!
It will be corrected with the v923.1 bugfix version.

Hi Hpasp, because I am not sent to GULAG, but don't have a medal for killing the "HABU" too, I am feeling I am not in the "main diagram" of High Command, so I'll do something to be noticed!!! (Obviously falling SR-71 from the sky didn't bring much attention).

So, now I am going to ask for my reward, either I'll have it or the High Command will be pissed off and send me to be companion to comrade Vintorez in Siberia... wink

I've discused with you ( in very annoyng manner, I must admit), about 2 things in S-75...

First was the sensitivity of radiofuses, second one was about limitation of SNR and launcher in epsilon, beta...

Quote:
"I've noticed that when I am tracking target with parameter near 0 km, (usually when hunting for "Habu" in over Hanoi), SNR and launchers reaches almmost 90 degrees, and still can launch a missile. The light "Sinhron PU" is lit all the time. I think that it should lit off when launcher hit 75 degree, and when SNR hit 60 degrees angle we shouldn't be able to make "Pusk"... Am I correct?"

So, I want one of those to be included in next release ( which is easier, of course!) and I'll consider I have rewarded for my "Habu"... If my request is denied, send me to Siberia!!!

P.S. "Shmel" radiofuse (on 11DKU) is weaker than 5E11. It should be simulate also in the future.. I told you - don't wait to PATRIOT and other borring new staff, you can tune those SA-X for months!
