Congrats, Tovarish Sim! For the time being, I'm concentrating on a probable bugs. Hpasp, here they come: Dvina: 1) launcher position arrows (on both indicators) do not work. They remain on their initial positions (depending on scenario). 2) RPK command light sometimes (double checked) remains 'on' after a missile explodes while its switch remains on 'ekv'. Should it be so? 3) h1 and h2 indicators do not work (if you want to model it at all). 4) 'poisk' (search) is always done in round ('krug') mode - the 'sekt' switch does not work. Sometimes 'poisk' does not work at all. Neva: no missiles available at Hanoi 26 XII scenario. Questions: What h<1 really does? Does it make it any easier at low altitudes? Do you plan to model it? And for support footage: in December 1972, Khrushchev had been dead for over a year. And 'unfit' for any state functions since 1964!

They works when I try... 2) RPK command light sometimes (double checked) remains 'on' after a missile explodes while its switch remains on 'ekv'. Should it be so?Nope, that is an old bug, I will try to found it. 3) h1 and h2 indicators do not work (if you want to model it at all). 4) 'poisk' (search) is always done in round ('krug') mode - the 'sekt' switch does not work. Sometimes 'poisk' does not work at all.
H1/2 indicators are not simulated yet with poisk. Neva: no missiles available at Hanoi 26 XII scenario. Will be corrected. Questions: What h<1 really does? Does it make it any easier at low altitudes? Do you plan to model it?H<1 was never simulated. (also not simulated at Volhov) This function is against ground mirroring of the target effect.

OK, I see. They work when you switch the black selector on I-II-III position. They do not work when the knob remains on its default position (CU).

One little bug; when radar is in receive only mode and following jammer, after destruction of jammer radar stays locked on to invisible target.

One little bug; when radar is in receive only mode and following jammer, after destruction of jammer radar stays locked on to invisible target. This behavior is not a bug, but a feature! Volhov has this mode also. When the transmitter switched off while tracking, the system keeps the SNR rotation speed, staying AS. When the transmitter switched back, and the target not made big turns, than the system can reacquire it quickly, or can loose its track. This can be used against non jamming targets also... ...target tracked, missile is launched, transmitter off, wait till 25s lamp illuminates, transmitter on, bummm (hopefully).

Hpasp: 1) Why is channel marker of a flying missile (the bottom dot only) still visible when I hit EKV after launch? If EKV switches off PA-11 and -12 missile tracking (receiving) antennas, the missile should be lost (btw. is that why launch is impossible in EKV mode?) 2)(more from philosophy, and pertaining also to Volkhov and Krug) - why is ANT-EKV switch easier accessible, more visible, guarded etc. than 'transmitter on-off'? The transmitter switch is of much more use. 3) about K method: I failed several very low altitude engagements because K-guided missile at some point went below the boresight and hit the ground before the target. Does it have "right" to do so or not? 4) can you explain the difference between K3 and dogon-K3 modes? (I would suspect that K3 'explode' command is going to be emitted - or have effect - a little bit later in 'dogon'?) Can I switch between them during flight? If the target just turns back... ...hunting Weasels over Hanoi. Anyone got more than two?

Very neat but it does this job little too well. After missile impact on receive only mode, it will follow burning wrack to the ground.

2)(more from philosophy, and pertaining also to Volkhov and Krug) - why is ANT-EKV switch easier accessible, more visible, guarded etc. than 'transmitter on-off'? The transmitter switch is of much more use.Switching transmitter off too often, with a working SNR would burn off the High Voltage contacts. Hell of a job to replace those. Of course, during wartime, its ok. 3) about K method: I failed several very low altitude engagements because K-guided missile at some point went below the boresight and hit the ground before the target. Does it have "right" to do so or not? There is a theoretical missile path. It should be always above the target. There is the real missile path. The missile is oscillating around the theoretical missile path. Within these oscillations, it could hit the earth. Use the 5Ya23 missile, it has better maneuverability, and it has less oscillation. 4) can you explain the difference between K3 and dogon-K3 modes? (I would suspect that K3 'explode' command is going to be emitted - or have effect - a little bit later in 'dogon'?) Can I switch between them during flight? If the target just turns back...Dvina has no K4 command, where SNR transmits the missile-target closure speed to the radio proximity fuse of the missile. You either use K3 against incoming targets, or Dogon against receding. You can switch it after launch, as it only alters when the SNR transmits the K3 compared to the range boresight.

I've been told that when the power is directed to EKV for long period of time, the EKV starts heating up and makes the position vulnerable in IR spectrum...
