British AI should not deploy flaps in a Spitfire in combat.

- Sometimes there is no "ground bumps" effect when taxiing at high speeds (or when my wingless, burnt-out fuselage tumbles down the side of a hill biggrin ) giving the impression the plane is sliding on the ground.

- When flying QMB mission with CEM on, exiting the mission, turning CEM off and restarting the mission, CEM control icons at the bottom of the screen remain visible. You need to exit QMB for them to disappear.

- When a plane crashes into another one, it often completely vanishes. Only the parts that were blown off and the plane that was flown into remain visible.

- Changin ammo belting in plane options doesn't seem to have any effect other than deleting the stock weapons option in the QMB...

- Some AI gunners couldn't hit the broad side of a hangar, others score headshots on planes moving 250mph at 500 yards.

- Are the dials on the instruments supposed to be so 'wobbly' ?

Edit : forgot these two :

- AI seems to be very prone air-to-air collision

- AI has trouble identifying downed planes : your wingmen will often follow you as you spin to the sea with a torn off wing and a burning engine)

Edit : got my on/off confused biggrin

Cheers

Nico

To save a gun loadout, you have to save the gun loadout then save the weapon loudout (or the gun loudout will not save, not sure is this is bug)

however after loading a custom named loadout into quick mission spitfire still does not display tracer rounds that I added

When playing the RAF Campaign, no matter what happens in the combat the end screen is always "Battle Failure". Even when the mission was just to fly a circuit in the Spit and land.

Flying in the Hurricane, crashed into a bomber, bomber went down I flew on unharmed later in same flight Hurricane lost it's right aileron this had very little impact on flying ability as I could still roll either way and Hurri would still fly straight and level hands off.

Seems the Hurri's canopy suffers the same damage-GFX-glitch as the Wellington.

Flaps-operation on 109 E

RL-Video:

As you can see, it takes 25 seconds to fully lower, 25 seconds to fully raise them = 50 seconds. In game 50 seconds wouldn't be enough to fully lower them. Not even while sitting on the ground.

Compass always points north at the start of each mission no matter which was the plane points - you have to adjust it to your plane's heading every time which is not right. And because their is no plane heading shown on the map and the whiskey guage is very diffiuclt to make out its actually quite difficult to correct the compass.

Right, mirror bugs.......(over English Channel usually)

Additionally, mirrors sometimes 're-appear' (both mirror versions) after turning them off with the default 'M' key, often minutes later. Quite a few bugs with control setup too, will not always indicate a 'conflict' IE key 'X' has already been assigned to 'Y'. Sometimes does, but not always.

Also, on the *Stuka* at least, the reflector sight is still operational and unaffected despite the glass it is being projected onto being smashed. I am no expert on these sights, but one would think the sight image projected by the (collimator I think?) would be completely diffused and therefore useless? Maybe it would still be possible to see this, I may be wrong but I'd be surprised. The brightness can also still be adjusted.

Grass poking through wings etc, they probably already know this but just in case. Smile2

To a few of the guys posting that CEM controls will not allow them to adjust prop pitch and mixture incrementally, be advised that not all aircraft have this option. That is why you are seeing a 'Jump' from top to bottom of the bar. E.G. The Spit MkI only has two pitch settings 'coarse' and 'fine', as well as lean and rich Mixture for example.

With that said, CEM controls are still buggy in terms of input response on some set ups. On the X52 Pro throttle I'm using (along with G940 stick) prop pitch incremental control will often 'freeze' becoming completely unresponsive, sticking and then moving again. All axes have been verified as working properly/calibrated in windows 'game controller' setup and Saitek CP, as well as the CoD setup. G940 rotaries also have this problem. Hopefully this will be sorted out ASAP, as the CEM feature is great and I'm otherwise really enjoying it. Smile2

Multi-player still inaccessible for some, even 'direct connect' (tried all the usual 'let program through firewall' etc stuff, all is correct but still no joy.)

Hope this helps. Smile2

Have you checked this isn't due to mixture setting being limited by throttle ?

Another one I've spotted :

- clouds dynamic shadowing sometimes works on the planes flying over the clouds.

Cheers

German Revi-gunsight: Sight projection doesn't look as well rounded as the RAF's ("fuzzy edges"), especially noticable when zoomed in and at narrow FOV.

Also: Revi's crosshairs are too thick and illumination is too strong under certain lighting conditions. Pic showing the view through an actual Revi12 (ca. 1938, illumination prolly switched off, dunno):

Revi 12 in-game:

And the RAF's counterpart in-game

New one, not sure if reported:

Using padlock in a dogfight, if an enemy plane crashes into the sea while being tracked by padlock the cockpit disappears until pressing 'F4' or disabling padlock again. Haven't tested over land.

Sounds:

I keep hearing my own bullets (and strangely those of my wingmen on occasion) hitting enemy planes. Even when I'm 500 meters or further away from the plane that's getting hit.
If this is meant as a sort of "audio-aid" for gunnery, it should at least have an off-switch. Very unrealistic and a bit annoying.

OTOH, a lot of times I *don't* hear enemy bullets hitting my own plane.

AI defying the laws of gravity?

Just had two BlenheimIVs outclimb me in my 110. Had them slightly above me at around 800 meters, started to climb up to them. Couldn't catch them, no matter what I did. Kept climbing but they just kept *out*climbing me for around 2km. Almost looked like they had WEP which gave them an additional 500hp per engine or a rocket-motor strapped to their fuselage. At around 3 km of alt I gave up and checked them on outside view (was sure that at least one of them had taken damage to the tail before). Turned out that one of them managed his climb with half his elevator shot off.

View from my cockpit, mid-chase: That's how the two Blens were positioned during the entire climb. I didn't seem to catch them at all.

Blens on external view. Note their angle of attack

Blen #2 and his less than perfect elevator. Nevertheless: He maintained same AoA and rate of climb as his unhurt wingman.

Also: The 110 seems very sensitive to overspeed. When I put it in a dive at around 1km, the needle of my speedometer starts to bounce like crazy around 480 km/h IAS and the plane start buckin' like a wild horse (whew! avoided the term "mustang" there quite nicely!). Push it a bit harder and the bucking gets intolerable. Push even harder and the wing comes off. I don't remember the exact numbers, but the 110 should at least be able of around 500 kph in *level* flight. Not sure at which altitude, but 480/490 kph IAS at almost sea-level seems a bit too soon to start losing its composure.
