This one is purely personal. My mother-in-law used to sing this until her husband passed. This is for her and her family. I love this song too.
It's funny how a song can send you right back to a memory. |This is one of those ons for me. Up the rugby club after the game with the beer flowing and Pat settling everything down a bit later with this song. it really does bring a tear to my eye. Happy days

Here's one for you... I never heard this song until I watched the documentary film "Touching the Void". During one of Joe's many deliriums, he experiences a very strong reminiscence of a Boney M song, "Brown Girl in the Ring", a song he hated thoroughly; at one point he was thinking "bloody hell, I'm going to die to Boney M".
After I watched the film, I just had to check the song out for myself. Now it rolls around in my head at the most inopportune moments, lol! I must say though, it's kind of a catchy tune.
