Pat, thankyou for the work you have done on this outstanding generator - you should get neoqb to put it in their store and give you the proceeds, it is worth far more than a couple of extra aircraft: but I know you are doing it for love!
I am currently on v 4.0 - couple of quirks:
1) Planes owned configuration - I cannot read it either, have to tick all the boxes to continue playing...
2) After loading v 4.0 and reloading my old campaign (Nov 1917 Jasta 4) was relocated. No prob - generated new mission and took off: came under ground fire from a MG while still only 1-2 km from the drome! Avoided it and completed mission. Cursed trigger happy MG still in the same place on the next mission! (I could email the mission file if helpfull).
3) Cannot get squadron skins to load as default - I have the historic generic squadron pack with dds files under RoF/data/graphics/skins. These show up in the hanger if I use MODS ON, in which case I can select the modded jasta skin as my own skin and it shows up in the mission, but the other aeroplanes are in RoF default. If I put MODS OFF everyone is in default.
Any ideas how I can see what I am doing wrong?

Thanks for the quick response to the 'Planes Owned' issue. There still appears to be a problem with selecting RFC Squadrons when creating a campaign. There are lots of RAF Sqns available from 01/09/1917 but it seems that the list stops at 85 Sqn.
Am I missing something?

v 4.1 still has a problem with planes owned - currently it is not recognizing planes owned even after ticking, unticking etc - result is Ge campaigns dump the pilot in an Albatros D.Va and UK pilots into Spad XIII. (Several reports over at RoF forum - just thought I would mention it here too....)

When I fixed the "planes owned" GUI I created another bug in aircraft assignment. As a workaroud you can manually edit the mission file to assign the correct plane to your pilot. This will befixed in 4.2.
I have also corercted data for 84 and 85 RAF.

Pat, when will the correct bases be added? (i.e. Valheureux for 56 squad)? Also, is there any way to get rid of an ace so you can join a specific squadron? What file should I edit and how? Thanks

Squadron management and tracking, more "random" flights, waypoints above 1,000 meters alt, historical planesets (within the limitations of the sim), squadrons in the right places....just minor stuff.
The opinions of this poster are largely based on facts and portray a possible version of the actual events. More dumb stuff at http://www.darts-page.comFrom Laser: "The forum is the place where combat (real time) flight simulator fans come to play turn based strategy combat."

Pat - any chance of making the rate of promotion within the campaign configurable? At the moment one can get from the lowest Ge rank to Lt in about 8 missions - seems a bit quick.

I know I'm doing something wrong, and that it's not the program. I'm getting, "The system cannot fnd the path specified." What am I doing wrong. Can you walk me through this?

Sounds like you are unpacking the zip file externally to the RoF install folder. The campaign needs unpacking to the RoF install folder eg c:\program files\Rise of flight

Sweet! Outstanding stuff Patrick!
The inclusion of the AAR is a big plus! Makes me care about and pay attention to what happens to those in my flight. And that improves the immersion several-fold.
Thanks, T

Pat, this new version is absolutely stunning! I love it! The missions got longer too, and that free text report - excellent!
Let me suggest something: -I'd like to be able to stay with a squadron even if I get promoted and there's an ace in it. He would still lead the flights (in case he's flying). In case I wanted a squad, I'd have to ask for it i.e. transfer to another one, but not automatically.
-Plus more mission types - strafing, airfiled attacks, escort missions, intercept, etc - I know you're working on these right now.
Other than that, it's perfect!

I don't have time to test it yet, but I will do it as soon as possible What about adding possibility for solo personal mission when you get some rank. I think it was real, I read Guynemer and Rickenbacker flew solo To choose what waypoint to fly in a some way and altitude and then it generates it and you fly alone?:)

Hi Pat (i am downloading as i type) is there a possibility that this campaign creator can be modded to produce randomised coop multiplay missions (one side versus the AI) for squadrons of mates that want to fly dynamic coop campaings? Cheers Oz (aka TheDuck)
