Hey guys I'm on the look out for a new joystick and possibly rudder pedals and was hoping some of you might have some suggestions on what to check out.

Our club members have most all the good HOTAS out there and if you do not have the money for the Cougar, go for the Saitek. It is my choice after having owned CHProducts and using Cougars. BadBud http://www.simflite.com

You will wind up choosing between CH and Saitek.. as in my opinion no matter how good the Cougars may be... their cost makes them less appealing. I have yet to hear a complaint about CH gear... other than personal stuff that a pilot just may not like.. but the craftsmanship from what I hear is top notch. Me personally if I had to start from scratch I would most likely go with Saitek. IMO you can't get better bang for the buck. I think that their rudder pedals are better than the CH ones.. and I do have both. If I went for a Saitek HOTAS I would get an X-52 Pro though.... instead of a stock X-52.
Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.

Cheers I recommend the Saitek Cyborg Joystick. I find I have more pitch control for "prop sims" with the Cyborg over the CH stick and I also feel the CH is too large making it hard to reach the upper buttons easily. I do currently use the CH Pedals and Throttle but Saitek has rudder pedals now as well. Cirrus

If you want the best of the bunch go for CH products. If you want good quality gear at an attractive price you can't go wrong with Saitek, it's all down to what you want to spend?

That's a surprise, Saitek were usually the lesser expensive but I haven't shopped for sim gear since I bought my standard X52!
