Would you really shelve a game because it doesn't do FSAA? Come on graphics detailing isn't that important?
Yes, I would. Right now I have 30" of very stark and consequently ugly grainy glittery mess on my monitor when I play CoD. Everything is shimmering and sparkling. There are places all over the planes where the lack of FSAA and AF make them look dire and it's x100 worse on the ground/buildings/trees.
I agree with you here Werner. They've gone to a lot of effort to try and make this game beautiful, (certainly more effort than was spent on the functionality!) but they then scupper their own efforts by not providing users the choice of forcing what ever level of AA/AF they'd like in the sim. Just about every other game/sim that I own does allow this so I'm puzzled by its absence in Clod. Yep, there's a lot of other stuff to fix, but FSAA and AA functioning correctly should be one of their higher priorities in my opinion. Jaggies and shimmer are huge immersion killers for me!
