They had no business winning that game but I am glad they did. Aside from the win, I still find it amazing that this team is always hamstrung by lefties whom they haven't seen. Even bad lefties--e.g. Kei Igawa who threw a shout out against them but then ten days later was put on the bus to AAA Wilkes-Barre/Scranton! Rookie lefties, journeyman Lefties it doesn't really matter who--this team always has trouble against left handed pitching.

Wow, it just noticed the Sox have an 8 game lead over 2nd place in the AL East.

I can't see it staying that big playing the Tigers

What I do see is that only one team in the AL East is above .500, weak.
The NL West is a hard division with only one team below .500.

And my Braves better get up on it, 'cause the Mets are not gonna slow down.

Well, Dice-K went the distance against the Tigers for his first complete-game victory of the year.

The Sox continue to roll, with no letdown following yesterday's improbable win.

Yankees play Chicago, who are also struggling, but they have much better pitching than Seattle and Texas. They then follow that with Detroit and then the Mets, who are the best team in NY right now but get less press. Mets have played them tough lately in the subway series. So no easy pickings for the Yankees--the lead can hold up if Boston stays consistent. It may even increase. But the rotation may lose steam with Beckett looking to go on the DL.

YEah, I'll be there tonight watching the White Sox kick the crap out of the Yankees--or Johnny Damon kicking the crap out of me from heckling him--I'll be just right of center field, 3rd row. Maybe I should hold up a big SimHQ sign!

Too bad the Boston/Detroit game didn't get rained out last night. Sigh.
