This was designed as a Ground Attack aircraft?
I was just wondering how the pilot was supposed to see his target?

I think they should go back to the drawing board on this one!

Looks more like a heavy armored interceptor with a big cannon in the hub.

But realy, guys, you are able to find realy ugly stuff out there, i suggest to read the playboy more often to even out the onesided estetic impressions. \:D

Edit: I just found some infos. lol This should have been a dive bomber, the propeller got dropped before landing and did glide down under a chute. ".......sorry Herr Rudel, you cant take off again, we still dont found the propeller....... ." lol

See, this is exactly what I was expecting from Maddox's "1946", instead we got a poor set of fairly 'plausible' and (to be honest) ugly and disapointing planes.

Me-309s and assorted Messerschmitt hybrids are my favourite.

Skylark, I suspect that plane to be either a joke or the product of the imagination of someone who has never studied real LW ground attack planes... Not only does the pilot have no forward visibility, but all his aircraft has to offer in terms of firpower is two weak cowling MGs... Those markings are from way earlier than '46 too...

Cheers

Nico

NICO :

Nope...it was a real design option. The ME262 HG111/3 concept.

Hi,

i guess Nico was talking about the Hütter136, but it looks like the Hütter had the Hubcannon as well(like 109F/G/K).
The Hütter never got flight tested, it only was a idea. not wanted by the RLM.

Greetings,

Knegel
