There is a red light that comes on\off just below the air speed indicator. Does anyone know what it is?

I thought it might be speed related but it goes on\off at different speeds.

Hmm, if I had to guess I'd say either low-fuel or engine temp, as those were 2 critical items with the 262, but would have to test it to make sure (haven't flown the 262 in a while).

It's the new "You Suck" light. When you start to fly lousy... Ongeblinken. When you fly better... Offgeblinken.

What I just said might be a lie. Be sure.

Well, it's neither one of these.

Nice try...not even close. Sometimes it comes on at @650kph..no shaking and not even close to break-up.

You guys are talking to someone who flies the 262 a lot, so stop the lame guessing... \:\)

If we don't come up with something soon, I may have to try something drastic, like actual reasearch...on the internet...myself. Not good.

After all, that's what these forums are all about...take advantage of OTHER peoples knowledge.. \:\)

I still have 1.11 installed, so I tested tonight and I couldn't get that light come on; I flew both versions of the 262 and did all kinds of bone-headed aerobatics. The bulb is there though. It's abilityh to light up must be something new like you suspected. Then again, I had the FM tuned down to moderate settings so maybe that affects the light not coming on for me.

I think there used to be an online Me262 guide that was a follow-up to Stewart's Stuka Guide. Anybody know if that's still around?

I checked the Jane's WWII Fighters manual's cockpit diagrams and that didn't help. B-17II came with a pretty good poster that labeled all the levers and gauges in each plane; maybe that would have the answer?

Skycat,

I feel silly because I did originally post that I thought it was a new feature (then I edited it out). You see, I opened version 1.11 and the light was there too! I can't believe I never noticed it.

Anyway, I haven't tested it much, but it seems to come on while diving, although not always at the same speed. I'm thinking it may have something to do with G's or maybe AOA?
