Okay, I have to say my favourite era is WW1 and the western front in particular. I'm not going to go into a long list of reasons why we should have such a sim made by Oleg.... it's simple... I enjoy flying that murderous little stringbag Pzl so much that it has awakened my desire for a full-on WW1 sim.... sign up now!!!!!!

Lol, you are far from alone. Sadly, I think we missed out this time round - it's pretty clear that sim 2 will be WWII based again.

Still, we live in hope; once Oleg's covered every theatre and plane of WWII, we may have a chance . And there is Wings with Wires...

Here's what I think... to the marketing people... I reckon that virtually EVERYONE that bought Il2 WILL buy a WW1 product created by the same team. Add all those RB fans and I reckon it's a sure fire winner.
Believe me I know the sim community, I will bet my house on it.
I know that WW1 is not the next project but seriously, a parralell WW1 product will SELL!

If you are really craving a WWI sim and can't wait, do what my squadron mates and I have been doing for a couple of nights now -- set up a dogfight between P11s! It gives you a tiny sampling of what a WWI sim from these guys might be like.

BTW, I think they did a poll asking for suggestions for the next sim some time ago on the IL2 official site, and WWI sim ranked lower than other theaters of WWII. I guess the people have spoken. Don't give up hope, though! I know I won't.
