KILO, check my FAQ page a few threads down. I have a list of them for addons, missions.
PV's is where you can find most addons that are worth downloading

Kilo, I'm no expert but I have read a few times here that you shouldn't go higher than 512 MB of RAM. I'd just get a 256 stick and see how it goes. That'll give you 320MB. Here's a bit of a site... http://www.flashpoint1985.com/index2.html [This message has been edited by 14th_JAR (edited 01-03-2002).]

islands r fake. i better say fictional. they look alright. and only ppl that were born in europe will understand the street signs. (well, some of em) as for the campaign........it was cool for me, untill our squad got seperated and i was supposed to get back to base (at morton) all by myself after they told us to evac the island........is it just me.......but what part of a "squad tactics simulation thingy" requires u to cross a field all by urself full of BMPs. at that mission i stopped playin the campaign and went on to multiplayer. its wierd.......i usually play a mission untill i pass it......but on that one......it just got boring like the 2nd time............

I know I was pissed about how hard the campaign was. Not sure if I got better or the patches help dumb down the AI sharp shooters One of my problems was I would rush in to complete the mission instead of trying to take my time and be more stealth like. I just on the mission after killdozer, w/out the save cheat I wouldn't be no where near this far but I don't dedicate that much time to SP, I'm a MP guy all the way looks like I'm #50 [This message has been edited by Top Gun (edited 01-03-2002).]

50, thats sweet. I understand the roadsigns, well of course i was born in Europe....lol. I thought OFP was supposed to have over 50 single player missions but it only has like 13. Anybody play the last signle mission where you are the commander of a AAA battalion? I tried playing it but it took like 10 minutes to load and the Framerate was like 1 Frame every 30 seconds.

no joy here, lowly PIII 550 not recommend for the faint of heart Plenty of SP & MP missions to download, you can even get some of the campaign missions done over in the snow add on. Looks so sweet

Flydude, you only got to After Montignac??!?! Thats only like 20% into the campaign. If you found that hard, no wonder you don't like OFP, its not for Quake-ers . God, I got that mission on like the 2nd or 3rd try. And BTW, if a guy gets seperated from his squad in real life does he just sit there and say "Hey, the recruiter said I would be part of a team! I quit!". Of course not, he makes due with what he has and tries to get back to his forces. Thats how it works in OFP too. As for the M-16. The M-16 is a first class gun. It doesn't jam much, at least not since 1967. Anyone who knows a little about guns knows that . The original M-16 had some probs (like any new gun) but most of them were fixed, even by the M-16A1. The M-16A2 and beyond are great weapons, from the Jungles of Asia to the Deserts of the Middle East. The G36 is just a cheap solution for Germany after they cancelled the G11 . http://www.wwa.com/~dvelleux/m16rifle.html Go there for the history of the M-16 series. yep, whistler tryin to be a smartass again...lets start replyin yeah...i got to after montignac, tried it twice, got bored of it...went to multiplayer. Quake-er.......hhhhmmmm......all i can say to that......hope you have rouge spear......if u do.....come to GS for some 1v1 (no point insulting each other now is there) as for the seperated from squad thing......how the hell did he get seperated?? M16 doesnt jam comment: well, i dont think u understand what i mean........jam a lot doesnt mean jam every 2 mags (thats the L85 lol).........by the "jams a lot" comment i meant jams WAY more then the G36 or the AK-47 also.........u dont even know how to argue.......all u do is spread insulting comments.......nobody cares what u think, unless u can provide some facts that make the other guy/gun look bad.. for example....most of the G36s tested were able to fire around 25,000 rounds without cleaning without jamming.....hehe....and that was done in Yuma, AZ, at 120 degree temps

Here I can reply to some of it: I don't really care whether you got "bored" (cough* can't beat the 5th mission ) or not, playing 20% of your illegal copy doesn't give you much credibility on this forum. Sorry sir, I never knew you were an expert on guns. Have lots of Jams? How many years did you serve? Thats what I thought. I have no experience on real assault rifles, but from what I know of real soldiers the M-16A2 is a reliable and accurate gun. There are lots of current/ex-servicemen here, ask them, and read the website I gave you. I know its a lot of words, but they are good words . I dunno about the L85 but apparently the new A2 version is good. I never said the M-16A2 is better than the G-36, I never fired either. All I said was the G36 was concieved after the G11 was cancelled for cost reasons, maybe you didnt understand me. I said it in a sly way to see if you would fall off your rocker like a kid, and wadda ya know . Id assume that the 20-30 years the G36 has over the M-16 would make it better in some ways. The G-36 is a great gun, I don't think its possible for the Germans to make a 'bad' gun . You get seperated from your squad because the rest of your squad is killed. That is explained at the beginning of the mission. As for nobody caring what I think, well you sure seem to care alot! Anyway, I am tired of talking to you (I wouldn't even call it an argument). Bye. i look at the numbers (number here being 25,000)
I know its a lot of words, but they are good words . I dunno about the L85 but apparently the new A2 version is good.
yeah, i was takin a crack at the A1, A2 isnt that bad

there is some truth in that, but i good rifle came out in the end

reliability being one

we agree

Safedisc2 has nothing to do with FADE. Believe me, your copy is flawed but chances are, you may not even know it. You should be even able to play very far into the campaign... but the effects are all going to be there. That's the beauty of it. You didn't pay for the game, but you pay for it when you try to play because you're not really playing the real game.
