did I write "psaltering" ?
I meant "plastering". The psaltering I'll leave 'till everything is done \:\)

Hmm, never seen Piece of Cake, but it does sound good.

OK small progress report :
The BoB

I'm currently busy remodelling the entire coast line. I've got about 2/3 of the British coast done, the cliffs are a major hasle, but it's getting there. When that's done, I'll have a standard high res mesh, with correctly rotated textures to have decent tiling. It's then a fairly simple matter of choosing and allocating the best textures to the tiles, but I will be releasing a rough version first, with just a basic scenery set, and maybe very minimal towns, but at least it will give an idea as to where what is, and allow you mission builders to get busy for the real thing.

The real thing will then feature many more airfirelds ( for human players only ), and more detailed landscape, just to bring up that immersion factor \:\)

Good News! The BOB will bring everyone back for sure. A real kick in the butt to an already great sim and I for one will do a bunch of immersion missions and website. Just watched the 5th part of Piece of Cake 4 min. ago - Spits and 109s in action over the Channel. Cheers. Swipe that!

Guys, this is MadJeff from http://www.biohazcentral.com. I'm an off-again/on-again WW2F player myself but haven't been on Bucc's site for a few months. I had no clue things had disappeared, it's a damn shame.

However, I have a proposition. I have 2 domains and 100Gb bandwidth a month to play with. I run a pretty active Flight sim site and would be more than happy to put together a subdomain for WW2F as well as a stable forum for everyone to meet/mod. It would take a few days to get a shell in place but I would be more than happy to do it. I can host the files as well.

I don't want to step on anyone's toes here, but I have the means and the desire to put together a stable WW2F community. Is there enough interest for me to spend some time on it?

Post your thoughts here and I'll check in and see what the consensus is.

Thanks for the offer, MadJeff. I think there will be an answer forthcoming in a few days.

For the rest of you, be patient.

I am still trying to get all the add-ons working! For me this sim is a dream. The graphics of IL-2 and the ability to add things in on your own! If more people new about it, I'll bet it would have a revival! I think too many people have not tried it, or have not flown it with all the "new" bells and whistles!

Horrido!

BTW EAw has some awesome new stuff, so does RB3D. Check that all out guys!
