We, Fluke and I at least, have merely rode this thing as long as it was enjoyable for us, and it's time for us to move on to other things. I myself have just entirely lost interest in WW2F Online, and the upkeep involved with the site. As Hammerd said when he "retired", when it's not fun anymore then it's time to move on. We have one hell of good community on the WW2F forums, and I'll miss that, but I sure won't miss dealing with the site issues!

I hope to see everyone hanging around this forum, it would be too bad to lose touch with you guys.

Whew!

That said, if anyone needs space to host a mod, I have plenty of extra room at my website. I think [I hope, anyway] that my site will become a general site for WWII combat simulators.

Yep - I understand completely why the site's gone... I've hardly played the sim at all since I finished my Spit IX mod, just completely burned me out on it.

I'll stick around to make my usual criticisms, though

For a long time, there was no WWII Fighters forum @ SimHQ. In fact, Judge used to be a regular @ the EAW forum. After the breakthrough occurred which allowed 3rd party mods for WW2F, the nice folks at SimHq started the WWF forum here. Unfortunately, for a long time, the WW2F crowd has been over at the WW2 Online site(s) with only Bill_Grant attempting to hook other simmers into WW2F.

I think htat if everybody uses this as the WW2F forum, we have a chance to bring in simmers from other sims over here. Even though Bill would post the occasional screenshot of the latest masterpiece, it didn't make much of an impact on many (though he hooked me), because of the lack of posts here. In short-we are at a site that has simmers coming out the wazoo. This is a great opportunity to acquaint new people with the masterpice that WW2F has become, so I hope a lot of you will stay here for awhile.

Savage,
You said it. I got hooked again on WWII Fighters when Bill showed Hammerd's FW190D. I'd check this forum from time to time, but it wasn't until last week that I discovered the forum at WWIIF online. I'd very much like to see this forum takeoff and see WWIIF continue to grow.

hey Hemingway, are you planning to buy Third Wire: Strike fighter? If you do , then all fo these WWII guys who 'retired' WWII could move to Third Wire: Strike Fighter and add all of our WWII stuff into it. Since we could edit flight model more deep, edit weapon load, strength of aircraft and something like that. We also could make and edit everything more easlier ever terran and would have fun again. it would be interesting if we fly WWII against 60s aircraft and see how tough we are. In Korea era, these Corsair shot down MiG-15 before and we could do the same thing. Or we could fly 60s aircraft or any era aircraft. It would be addition of fun and what you think? I ain't leaving you guys and WWII guys cuz all of you guys have been so great. But since I can't fix my problem with my joystick in WWII fighter, I am moving on to Third Wire: Strike Fighter and I hope to fly with you guys in there. If you are importing all of your WWII stuff into that sim, then I would DEFINELY have alot of fun and very happy to fly with you guys! to every of you guys
