i just wanted to say eurofighter typhoon is a piece of garbage. Even with the patch i get ctd's............ What a disapointment! I am going to try ef2000 v2.0, i hope that works. Wouldn't that be sad if ef2000(made in 1997) is more stable than eurofighter typhoon(made in 2000)?

Good do you have EF2000v2.0 I am looking for ONLINE players for some Campaign and 1 vs 1 action let me know!! EF2000v2.0 is much better in a way than Typhoon is. I was VERY dissaopinted with Typhoon!!

EDIT dont forget when you install DESELECT MUSIC in the install !!

I just purchased ef2000 from ebay for a cool 5 dollars! it should be arriving shortly. Yes, i am interested in joining you in a online campaign. Let me get everything set up and i shall join in. Is the only stability issue with the game the music? i know my other DID game(TOTAL AIR WAR) had a similar issue. Are you running the game on your xp interface? What adjustments did you make?

GREAT!! YES I am running on XP Pro it works fine.
When I installed I got an error message "Can not register diretX Dlplay Lobby" but it worked online no probs. and deselect music on install or it will not loadup.

I also had to use a CPU slowdown cause it ran so fast on my newer rig if you need it let me know cause the game will run real fast.

it is EF2000v2.0 right US vesion!!

Sure i will part with it. It is not that the game sucks actually, i am just tired of the ctd's that plague the game. There is nothing more infuriating than having the game crash while you are about to set up your attack! Hey if your game is not crashing, what did you do to prevent it!

Eurofighter Typhoon should be condemmed to the flames of mediocrity!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I downloaded the throttle utility the other day.........but i have no clue how to implement it on my computer. The read me file doesn't help and when i run the program......i get an ms-dos box that closes immediately. I already love the game....but i cannot play because it is WAY to fast. Can you offer assistance?

If I remember correctly you click both the install.Bat then Regini.exe they close real fast. Not sure if you have to run both but it won't hurt.

Reboot then go back to where you unzipped the file there should be a grey slider icon "Win Throttle EXE" run that then select the amount of slowdown that will work. I have a 3 ghz HT processer and I use 75% on the slider scale.

I just put the icon on my desktop and it works Great!!

Let me know if that works and if it did lets get a Online game going!!

it has a free 30 day trial but after that you that you will have to pay if ya wanna keep it!!

i downloaded the winrar file and the throttle file. All is well with the game now!! i slowed the machine to about 75% as you suggested and it was smooth as silk! I will join you online on sunday, i am busy until then!

Hey, guys - couple of questions. How are you connecting on the internet to fly EF2000 v2? I thought it only set up dial-up modem play...not modern internet protocol.

And are you using Super EF2000? Believe that will work on my primary computer, connected to the net. But the much better looking accelerated DOS version just won't work for me. I tried a glide wrapper, but no go. Did some tracking on other forums, but reached dead ends.

A glide Wrapper will NOT work!! I have the 3D FX version on my retro rig still looks good for an older sim me and Spliff tried to get the 3D FX version to work on Kali but were not able to get it to work

Well, I've got Super EF - which is a selection along with 3DFx and Rendition on my EF2000 V2.0 original disk. But cannot get either of the 3D versions to work on my internet connected primary computer. So that's the reason for the Windows Super EF. Isn't the Tactcom upgrade stuff included in Super EF? Any idea if the three versions from the V2.0 disk are compatible on line?

I wrote out the TCP/IP issue I'm seeing on the other thread you started asking for MP interested pilots. Got the setup for it, but can't start a server. Maybe I could join, though.

Yes, the Rendition version looks great (well, pretty good for its age)! The Windows version is blocky, but acceptable if it were the only option for online.
