In EFT now every time I try to view an EBC broadcast, the system freezes totally and requires a hard reboot. This is wierd since they play normally in Windows Media Player. It seems XP (Pro) is set up with something that is dragging media file acess away from the games (direct X) and trying to play on the desktop. In Battle of Britain the in game avi play in the background behind the game. In EFT the opening AVI is fine, but the asf EBC broadcasts lock the whole system up.
Anyone help?
After the new patch for EFT, and finally saitek drivers released so i can program my cyborg USB in XP, slightly happier, but still experiencing the odd media file related problems. I even disabled active desktop the full way (using the console function in XP) and no joy. sound related conflicts seem to crash to desktop other games like silent hunter ii even with the XP patch.
