As far as I can tell, the opening up of the campaign is to be done with the help of community members and as such given as a patch/free upgrade, while an add-on is most likely also in the works. You shouldn't be missing anything by buying it now, unlike was the case with ADF/TAW (at a point Steve said something to this effect as well). I'm not sure if the above is really the case, mind you, but that's my impression.

You can wait if you want. But your missing out on a lot of fun you could be having right now. I know this game has some problems, but it IS fun as hell. I just lost a second pilot into day 2. You really do feel a sense of loss when one up and dies on you. I'm thinking of having a wake to ease some of the pain. hehe

Does anyone know how many pilots you can loose and still have a chance of winnng the campaign?

Man this game does have it's great points :-)

I finally caved in. Can`t stand the thought of you all experiencing the sim and reading about it.

What`s with the Harrier scenes? Are they part of the strike package?

You're welcome. The Harriers and Tornados are part of packages when you will be flying the tough missions. You will be able to see them in more deatils when you are taxing, but not much.

I lost five pilots and I kept going about five or six missions before getting popped and seeing the silly "Game Over" cut scene.

It didn't seem as though I couldn't have "won" either. Friendly forces were doing OK, I just wasn't around any more to help. My guess is, if you continue doing well in your missions, you might win with even one pilot.

Jeesh.....it looks like I won`t be getting Typhoon until after the weekend. I screwed up on the order process and changed to my U.S. Mail box. Much faster this way except I have to go down and get it.
Anyway..... sounds like it might be worth the trip. I can`t seem to pass this one up because I`m a real "campaign hog" when it comes to flight sims. F4,Mig Alley, Etc.....Cheers.
