I don't understand why people are giving Andy Bush such sh!tty attitudes. The guy was a REAL fighter pilot and he is trying to help you people have more fun PLAYING A VIDEO GAME and you guys are dumping on him..... lets keep some perspective people... sheesh!!!

I admire Andy's ability to keep cool under Flak. And hey... he doing his best to help!

Yes i apologise to Andy if my "tone" has been a bit sharp............
My reason? Well i'm an experienced simmer and all this talk of "incorrect launch parameter's" realy got to me as i could visualy see my target's being hit.(it does say in the manual; within the range of the launch bar *which* Steve say's could be at fault aswell?!)

So after smashing my joystick keyboard in frustration(nearly...not quite!) i found the answer in Steve Hunt's explanation.
Which at last proved that i *wasn't* doing anything wrong

We did have 1 shot kills with Brimstones, but the invasion was just to easy to stop - you could kill a whole group of tanks with 10 pulls of the trigger from 10nm away. So you see Andy how frustrating this is/was for "us" untill Steve posted this up?

There has to be a reason why so many people got upset on this forum and being told "you must be using incorrect this and that" didn't help matter's... Sure there are alway's "newbies" but "we" posted time and time again our launch parameter's and finaly here is the reason why they did indeed hit and not miss...but just didn't explode!
Because they weren't hit enough time's...

I for one, have grown weary of the "seriousnous" of this forum as well as the others. Maybe I'm just fed up with the egos. Yeah, that's it. If I offended anyone here.....well, the hell with it. I wasn't trying to piss anybody off, but some of you guys need to lighten up -they're only games! I'm outa here, see yas.

I like that. Don't go; we need less serious people around here.

As for Typhoon..I think it;s a great game. It was never meant to be hardcore and it doesn't make much sense to bitch aobut it under that guise. And I think we're seeing people who take their sims VERY seriously complain because certain elements of Typhoon don't quite work like real deal.

I'm not saying Typhoon is perfect..it could use a tweaking here or there. But I'm certain those things will be takien care of. Till then..enjoy the game.

Bite the lip Silverswift and give a few day's to blow over.....Sure there are big ego's here but that's life..it's only temp then you "disconnect" and get on with your real life outwith this forum

Chill out mate i got your meaning....everyone's allowed to voice an opinion. I myself have had a "bad" time the last few day's........thank's go to Steve Hunt for giving me back my sanity as regard's the weapon's hitting home but not destroying the target's.
NO ONE ELSE mentioned this or has continued his helpfull post...other than me that i have saw?
It's the first time i have played a lite/sim whereby i had to make mutiple passes on one target ie AAA/SAM to destroy it with upto 3 Brimstone's/Hellfire's..? *certainly* not one-shot-kill within 1-2miles as have been *all* sim's i played before this.

Anyway, I got my answer now i move on

I feel saddened when I hear people say that Typhoon was never meant to be a hard core sim... its just plainly not a sim I'm afraid. In a sim you WOULD add more tanks... in an arcade ala cart PS2 game you add more hits. 1 question... does every tank require two hits? if so it would appear this game is even more rigged than first thought.

I have a lot of things against Razorworks EECvH as I'm sure a lot of the people in between boards already know (not pointing at blaze honest *G*) but one thing they did get right was making it simple to begin with and giving you the OPTION to experiment more... I thought that the two sided key/ops inlay card was really good... one side showed what you had to know (the full side for typhoon) and the other showed everything you COULD know.. which is totally non existant in Typhoon. The biggest thing a sim needs to be a sim is accuracy and the more I play into Typhoon the less accuracy and more 'fun' arises, maybe what makes this game a sim is the stupid time-wait sequences that cant be skipped? thats admittedly one thing you wouldnt see in an action game.

In my books, I'll be playing Quake and Unreal long after I've played typhoon... I think thats pretty sad. I personally think and its becoming more obvious now, that Rage took advantage of D.I.Ds damn good reputation, made in interesting short-term 'experience', slapped the black D.I.D label on it and masqueraded it as a flight sim.

When I diss things like this I'm never attacking an individual or their views.. but I did hear that a lot of developers read these posts and maybe in someways some of our comments might get through to the people that need to know. After looking back at D.I.Ds past flightsims.... everything looks like lessons learnt and lost.. why are people comparing this to EF2000? because your supposedly flying the same aircraft...

Can anyone here (and I'm sure there must be) remember Tactical Fighter Experiment? D.I.Ds debut on the sims battle field? TFX wasnt really a sim.. but it was a hell of a lot of fun for a hell of a long time. Why did 'D.I.D' go back to these roots though after making two good original games in between? I think that when they made TFX a lot of limitations were because of home users hardware... there is no reason in going back.
