So why did Rage delay Typhoon approx three months ago, saying that the game was finished-it's just that we need a publisher??????

Then Rage decide to publish it anyway....strange?

I had heard that Infogrames had refused to handle it after the TAW/ADF poor sales fiasco?(read=DEBT!)
That and the bad blood left after Info put Martin up against a wall and said "sell up or slowly die!"(well they didn't realy but it couldn't have been far off it )

The delay doesn't seem strange. When Infogrames was out as publisher, Rage had to start from scratch in terms of publishing the game. Any efforts that Infogrames might have made would have been moot. Whether they eventually chose to do it themselves or find someone else; 3 months doesn't seem too long a time to take care of business.

Thanks Andy. BTW, I liked your analogy. It seems like Typhoon is going to be more accessible and potentially draw new people in to the genre. Let's hope.
