Well I do pay for the premium sub, it's like $14 US and well worth it to me. Not sure if they are free for everybody.
Just Watched The Eagle Yesterday, pretty good IMO. I had seen it many years ago so it had some surprises for me.
Just found a Russian flick called The Pilot. The first 15 minutes was great. Some real IL2's supposedly. German tanks kinda wonky, and now it's becoming a hide and seek thing I think.
Lots of decent free flicks pop up occasionally. FWIW.

Was this “The Eagle” you watched? I think several movies have the same title.

Yeah Panzer, that's the one. I enjoyed it (again).
I'm an avid student of Roman history so any chance I get to watch a movie that takes place in that period I make sure not to miss. On a related note, Gladiator II comes out in less than 2 weeks!

Risen from 2016 is pretty good Panzer. Its a faith film and though those can be pretty low budget and not always of great quality, this one is an exception. I really enjoyed the portrayal of a Roman officer by Joseph Fiennes. He carried and presented himself very well in the role of a Roman soldier and with this movie they made it into a pretty neat detective mystery. There's also some great camera work and I quite enjoyed their presentation of first century warfare between Rome and Judean rebels. Its one of the few times that I've seen a movie make slings look as dangerous as they should be and there are some pretty cool Roman shield tactics depicted.
I'd also be curious to hear back from you and others who see Gladiator II. I saw a trailer for it but I'm not quite sure what to make of it. I loved the first film though.

I'll be sure to post my review after I've seen the movie. The overall impression I got from the critics reviews that I've read is that the sequel is not on the same level as the original but it's still a very solid film.
