Their finest hour.
I literally would not be here if not for Britain standing up to the Nazis, and the Allies helping defeat them. As a very young Danish policeman, my Dad was sent to Buchenwald concentration camp with the rest of the Danish Police Force as they were deemed by the Nazi occupiers to be too ineffective in exposing resistance fighters and saboteurs. He fell ill and was hidden by the Soviet POW’s. He even survived being called to the Commandant’s office, bizarrely only to advise on the correct spelling of another prisoner’s name.
He was repatriated during the last months of the war and with Red Cross rations he persuaded a train driver to move the train he and other POW’s were in from the main line that was under bombardment, to a less dangerous area of the rail yard.

People just don’t seem to care anymore.
Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
Someday your life will flash in front of your eyes. Make sure it is worth watching.

People just don’t seem to care anymore. +1 On my Battle of Britain dvd there is a special feature included where someone went out to the streets of London in 1969 to interview and ask pedestrians what they knew about the Battle of Britain. A surprisingly high number of them didn’t know what it was. This was only 29 years after the event AND the interviews were done in the UK. I can’t even imagine now how much worse the ignorance is.

For historic educational displays and usage, it's not a problem in either country. Only for games or other items that could be seen as glorifying or at least making light of the Nazi party.

Is it only Germany and Austria ? One of the history related Facebook groups I follow stated that a post had been flagged for mentioning Hitler. And no, it wasn't in a favorable context or anything like that.

Is it only Germany and Austria ? Correct. Only in those two countries is it illegal to display the swastika except for specific educational purposes. Edit; I didn’t know about Australia.

not sure what the current state of play in Russia is. Putin is still busy “denazifying” Ukraine so I’m assuming it’s illegal in Russia.
