They can both bite but unless an allergic reaction I would say nothing more serious than a nasty sting and I cannot remember reading of a serious bite by the bigger of the two - the Adder as they are quite timid.

The Adder, rarely seen in my part of England is our only venomous snake: "its venom is generally of little danger to humans: an adder bite can be painful and cause a inflammation, but is really only dangerous to the very young, ill or old."
No other non-domestic animals here offer danger, though one might trip over a badger or hedgehog in the dark, or maybe get inadvertently speared by the antlers of a panicking deer, of which I can only recall one incident of in recent years. We have Great Crested Newts in our garden, the risk being financial, an unlimited fine and up to 6 months in prison for disturbing these protected amphibians.
Last summer we had a cousin of my wife visiting from Perth, Western Australia, and she was surprised to see me demolishing an old shed wearing no protection other than work gloves. Where she lives full body protection would be mandatory what with all the nasty beasties that would take refuge in such a construction.
I did get a bit of blistered foot skin ripped off and consumed by one of our Hens once, but being a domestic animal that doesn't count. Thing obviously got a taste for human flesh after that, following me around with beady eye and murderous intent.

The original foot- blistering was caused by spillage of boiling water. I was wearing open sandals to avoid bursting the blistering when the hen attacked. The result of the hen's heinous act was an infection, and the Practice Nurse at the doctors' surgery stated that in her thirty years' experience she had never seen the like!

This guy is nuts! That's already an incredibly dangerous snake to be around without a group of helpers on LAND, in the water it'd be ten times more dangerous. Plus it appears to be shedding, snakes tend to get a bit temperamental during that.
An 1100 pound snake, that is crazy! I've been around green anacondas that weighed nearly 200lb, you'd need to be one huge man to safely handle that by yourself (and the guy who owned them actually was, nearly 7 feet tall and really built, easily by far the hugest non obese man I've ever seen in person).
I'm not sure what the snake in this video would weigh (since it's entire body isn't shown) but to me it looks quite larger than the ones I've seen...
I once owned a 9 foot boa that weighed 50lb (I got it from the guy mentioned above). She was definitely no small snake, but compared to these things she'd be a pencil...
