When you were looking at the aircraft assignments in the start screen, you mentioned that you didn.t know if there was anything that would prevent you from changing aircraft type. When all of that type were in use and there were no reserves, and this was only when everyone who has this type outrank me or are aces, I AM assigned that aircraft type but when I try to go on a mission I am told that I have no aircraft to fly. This is because I have an aircraft assigned to me which is not available at that time, I have to wait until a new one comes in. Same goes for any wingman pilots who have this aircraft assignment or you change their assignment to this limited number aircraft. If you want to fly you have to go back to your old type.
Didn't know about the opposite rudder thing when spiraling down to slow the aircraft. Handy trick. I use the rudder, back and forth, to slow me down when coming in too fast on a landing.but this never occurred to me.

One of the things I like about your vids is that they're human and live. You let everyone see your mistakes and admit you're not the prefect pilot, especially in the area of formation flying.
Your claim probably will be rejected, those were DVs. You really should get a cockpit camera from the Flying School. So what if it weighs down the kite!
The first bunch you tangled with was the Blue Noses of Jasta 36 and the one with the red band was Walter von Bülow-Bothkamp.
The 2nd batch of Albatri were the Squadron Default for Jasta 27. Must have been the B team, I didn't see Herr Meyer with them.
I think with a dead stick EA they would have probably forced him to land if they had time. Especially if it looked like he might be able to glide over the lines or into no-man's-land.

That's for sure! I even have a card addressing just that topic!

I also never go back and review the tape before making my claim! While that is a good point, I am not sure that getting the plane type wrong is all that important in claims. I know I have definitely gotten credit for putting down 2-seater type as I can never remember which one is which. Interestingly, it seems that many of the claims reports I have read often do not identify the specific type of aircraft.

You, as always, are on point!

The older I get, the more I realize I don't need to be Han, Luke or Leia. I'm just happy to be rebel scum...
GOOD SHOW RAGGIE! And you came out without a scratch.
Surprised me to see you get credit for that last Alb. It was definitely a DV but I guess they cut you some slack. Same with these last 3, definitely DVs but the powers still credited you with a DIII downed. Archie probably claimed your other two, all politics!
I quick way to identify the DV and DIIIOAW is that they will have the purple and green on the upper wing surfaces, while that was not being used on the DIII or DIII early, in WOFF anyway.
Your first customer was Carl Menckhoff, at that time in Jasta 3, in the purple Alb. This is the original WOFF skin, he actually had a red M and red nose band, rather than black, according to the god Bruno Schmäling (Blessed be His name) and Menckhoff's Reminiscenses. Black was very hard to see on a surface like that purpleish color and they wanted these markings to be visible.
Red nose was one of the Baron's boys, the Squadron Default for Jasta 11.
The last, nondescript DV is the Squadron Default for Jasta 3, So it was those two Staffels you were up against.
According to the notes I took some time ago, and some of it may have changed, the aircraft assignments get adjusted from time to time in the updates, Jasta 11 started using the DV mid-June 17 and Jasta 3 was given them in WOFF starting about 2 August.
Took some screenies of Menckhoff's head going down, that's always exciting to see.
