Has anyone else had a problem with TrackIR being recognized or functioning properly since the latest Windows 11 update?
I have uninstalled the drivers & software, unplugged the TrackIR and rebooted. Re-installed. Tried different USB ports. Different versions of the TrackIR software and even bought a replacement TrackIR unit. No joy.
It's not just WOFF that doesn't see it. It says the TrackIR driver isn't signed, even though I download direct from the website and it was the same driver that was working up until recently.

Hopefully Pol will see this thread and offer some tips - I think he runs Win11 on his rig. In the meantime, I tracked down a link to similar problems on an earlier install of Win11 - might be worth a look. Can't think of anything else at the moment - I'm still WoFFing on a locked down install of Win10 Pro (ver. 1809) on the 2013 Mac Pro. Currently experimenting with a dual Xeon setup so will see what the future holds - might be brave enough to try installing Win11 on it, or I may go the Linux Mint route and run WoFF in WINE. Hope that you resolve the TrackIR issue quickly,
~ For my various FM/AI/FPS/DM Mods. for First Eagles 2, WoFF, RoF & WoTR, and tips for FlightGear, recommended is to check over my CombatAce profile ( https://combatace.com/profile/86760-vons/) and to click on the "About Me" tab while there. ~

Hellshade it works fine here with Windows 11 Pro.
Maybe you need to set the trackir.exe to run as an administrator - from properties, compatibility tab.
I do not have to do that here btw.
From that thread that VonS linked too, a user Jackal posted this:
"Here is the news: I managed to solve all my issues with TrackIR.
Thanks to the careful, patient assistance given by e-mail to a NaturalPoint technician in these last days, I had to wipe out literally any entries, one by one, of TIR in my PC/system, reinstall all the stuff from scratch, et voilà… the utility is back. And it’s confirmed: the latest software/drivers released by NaturalPoint (5.4.2) is good in Windows 11 Pro too.
Hope no one can make my experience, but in that unfortunate case I am giving below the procedure that helped me to get out from almost a nightmare:
"1. Unplug the TrackIR from your computer. 2. Remove TrackIR from add/remove programs. 3. Remove NaturalPoint Drivers from add/remove programs (this is the device driver). 4. Delete NaturalPoint folder from Program Files x86. 5. Delete NaturalPoint folder from %APPDATA% location (APPData is a hidden folder). If you have tracking profiles you wish to keep, please back up this folder instead.
-C:\Users[Your.Username]\AppData\Roaming\NaturalPoint.
Open regedit.exe as an administrator. Please be careful not to change other items than the ones listed below. Search for and rename labeled as “NaturalPoint” to “NaturalPoint-00”. The default location for this is Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NaturalPoint IMPORTANT: I DELETED ALL OF THEM INSTEAD. The choice is yours here. (If there are any other old references to NaturalPoint or TrackIR from the older version of the TrackIR within the registry, you may want to rename those as well.) Reboot your PC/system. Download the latest installer from NaturalPoint website. -The latest download will also have their latest USB Drivers. Right-click and install as an administrator. At the beginning, you will be prompted to install the device driver. Make sure this gets installed. It is important that you get prompted for this. Locate the Track IR 5 Icon on your desktop, right-click on it and select ‘Run as Administrator’. (This only needs to be done the first time.)"
We are taking a break now for Christmas so I may not be around as much in here.

That did the trick, Pol. Thank you and Jackal for providing the info. Saving for future reference. Back to the deadly skies!
