Haven't been on much the past couple of weeks but jumped on today. The double daily challenge XP is good. Got a few quick ranks just doing the dalies.I also built a personal terminal, I guess for the first time. Gives me a few quests to do anyway, which is nice.It was the daily that wants a picture of a super mutant and I didn't have a camera. So I looked it up and it pointed at this bucket list quest chain.

I`ve been lurking around Whitespring Mall.
Also met Orlando.
I wonder if joining the Responders is a good idea?
Only on level 29 for the moment.
Also tried to activate the power station in Charleston. Failed to find all the consols in the reactor before the time was over. I`ll try again.
A q about the Mall.
I was standing near the cash register when someone came and made a trade.
The items he bought suddenly showed up when I pointed at the cash register and I could grab what he bought. Is that a known bug or a coincidence?

Orlando is definitely a strange character for sure. LOL

Not sure what that was, but could it have been a loot bag? Like he dropped one nearby and you happened to catch it when looking toward the register? Players drop a lot of loot in the mall. I've gotten a lot of great stuff for free off the floor.

I saluted him and he gave me some items. I think one of them was "he Fixer". I also got a "Fat man" from a player. Which I haven`t tried yet. I `ve got enough problems with finding fusion cores and parts for my power armor for the moment. And managing my weight of course. Oh I forgot. Beckett is still yelling at me in my camp. He is eager to give me some missions I guess, but he has to wait.

You were given a Fixer? Score! That's a great weapon, I carry it. I rolled an anti-armor and love it. It's especially good if you're stealth and crouch everywhere. And it's the perfect weapon to split ammo expenditure since it is chambered in .45. Is the one you have a level you can use?

It`s only level 20. At the moment it is pretty simular to the "Vampire" you gave me, isn`t it? Except for the caliber of course. Have you any idea how I could mod it? I will be level 30 next session I guess.

"The Fixer" is my weapon of choice when I'm just free-roaming in the game (ie not doing any events). I don't use a stealth build but the Fixer has great accuracy and lethality and it's my go-to weapon for sniping.

Have you any idea how I could mod it?
Yes, of course we do! But honestly man, I wouldn't suggest it since it's level 20. You're soon to be 10 levels above that, but since you asked.... Roll a legendary effect on it. You need legendary cores (get them from events) and legendary modules (buy them at the Pick). Then add a legendary effect at the workbench. What you get is entirely random, so if you want specific effects it can take a while, or you might get lucky straight away. I like anti-armor above all others but I don't mind Instigating, Vampire, Furious, Two-shot or Aristocrats as the first star. The rest are very situational. Like for example I have an Assassin's Handmade (damage against humans) and Mutant Slayer (damage against super mutants) and an Exterminators (damage against bugs and lurks) so I can match the weapon to the event or location if I want The Fixer already comes well modded, it has reflex sight, suppressor and AP mag. You need to scrap combat rifles to learn plans for it. Panzer gave me the Fixer plan so I could make one for you if we see each other. You should be looking to get one at level 30 if you can. And you now outlevel the Vampire Handmade by 14 levels so probably need a new one of those too. Actually, the Fixer you have may not be modded that way, the one you get from a quest comes with these modifications. If yours doesn't have them, I would add those three at minimum, plus a barrel and stock. Your Fixer obviously has stinging mag as I can see it is 20% AP and 25 rounds

Thank you for the info. Lots of it. I`m not sure how my Fixer is modded. I believe I could put it in the mod bench to check? I will wait until passing level 30 any way as I think it will be tonight or tomorrow. I have thought about joining the Fixer quest. It is the one you get from the placard in the train station, right? And I haven`t joined any public events yet. So legendary stuff is just a dream on the horizon for the time beeing.

Yes, the sheepsquatch quest will yield a Fixer. Do it at level 50 unless you get a Fixer plan in the meantime so you have a Fixer to carry the rest of the way. To see modifications you can mouse over it in the pip-boy and hit X to inspect, you'll get this screen

That's well-modded, I like it. It can be improved (powerful automatic, aligned stock, etc) but like I said I'd think twice about it since it's low level compared to your character. You're at the stage where I'd advise getting in to events because legendary effects are awesome. My Fixer gets +50% AP (plus another +40% from the magazine) and faster fire rate, both of which make it much more effective than it would be without these effects.

I joined a couple of public events tonight. I found out that greed is a problem. I vacumed the place and got overloaded. I found a scapbox, but I was not allowed to use it. Said I need Fallout 1 or something. I have Fallout 4, but that doesn`t help I guess. How can I use rhe scrapbox? And how can I check if I have recieved any legendary items? I think the first event should give one, but I don`t know how to find out. Then someone gave me a new armor.(!) With a jetpac. Even gave me some fusion cores. I have to find a way to say thank you other than the salute and thumbs up. He also craftet a rifle that I have to check out tomorrow. He waved "come here" and craftet while I was waiting. I felt I was cheating, but who cares. Lots to do tomorrow. My stash is full and needs to be reduced. Then scrap some pistols and grenades. I even got some stuff that I can`t use before level 45 or 50. Now level 30.

LOL, that made me laugh. The scrapbox is one of the quality of life items you get with the Fallout 1st subscription. The scrapbox automatically scraps your junk and has no limit. You also get an ammo box with no limit. You still have a limit of 1200 in your stash, but when you can move all the junk and ammo out it makes that 1200 go a lot farther. There are other things, like a fusion core recharger, more challenge XP, more rewards from the scoreboard and 1650 atoms each month. I have it, Panzer does not. It isn't needed of course, but is a nice thing to have if the price doesn't put you off. I bought the full year. You can buy one month, load it up and cancel the subscription after a month. You get to keep the scrapbox, but you can no longer put stuff in to it. I like what 1st offers and the cost isn't that bad really, but others vehemently disagree with that Legendary items are just the ones with the stars on them. They can be 1, 2 or 3 stars. Like the Vampire handmade or the three-star Kabloom I see in your screenshot. Jetpack eh? Zoom zoom. I'd like to know which armor that is, because only the best ones get a jet pack. What did you get?

It is a Raider Power Armor. I will consider buying a subscription. May be best wait and see if the upcoming expansion will make any difference?

I bet it gets good TV reception Nice! That's very generous, to craft you a full set of power armor and modded too. Calibrated increases carry weight I think. And it's all at full condition. With a jet pack?! You are literally moving up. Haha, I should write this stuff down. If you think you are going to stick with this game, why not give 1st a try. You can do a month and then see what you think. It has made my experience better, I like what it offers, and if you're a power armor user the recharger is like gold.

Yeah, I was lucky to meet that guy/girl , who knows. I think I did a screenshot so I got the name if there is any way I can give something back. Antennas are cheap now you know. Nowadays people are streaming stuff. Radio Luxemburg is still airing though .... I used about 2 minutes and bought a one year subscription of 1st. I trust your judgment and also knowledge about the game. Besides 1 year was 33% off which seems to be a good deal.

Yeah, at a discount no less. Nicely timed.
So you'll want to build at least these things in your camp
Scrap box Ammo box Fusion Core Recharger
Fallout 1st also comes with a survival tent which you can place anywhere and move at will. You know where my camp is, and I have been keeping my tent behind the Watoga rail station to give me a free fast travel point n that area. It's also really convenient to get in my Hellcat PA to run the Scorched Earth event.

Yes I am on it. I should have "refurbished" my camp to make it more tidy. I need some time for that. Now I have to familiarize myself with the 1st membership and see how I can benefit of it. I
