This might have been asked before. I try to searching, didn't find it.

I was flying around in Apache Longbow and I see the outline of 2 helicopters maybe 3 km in front of me flying by. from right to left,

I had my air radar on set to ALL and 8 km.

My air radar was blank except for my one wingman.

Then I put my ground radar on Medium and they showed up on it, two MI-24

I couldn't shoot them with my stinger because they are not on my radar. So I told my wingman to attack them and he shot one down with a stinger and the other one got away.

So why did they show up on his air radar and not on mine?

1.15.2 with GWUT 1.15.2

It only happen one time in the 5 hours I played it.

It was in the 3rd Alaska campaign, set to Winter.

Maybe those MI-24 were flying too close to the ground, they were below my Apache's air radar.
