Interesting. I was only reading the CAP 2 Steam forum a few days ago, not that much goes on in there lately but I pop in occasionally just on the off chance there is some news.

To me, this game always looked promising, hence why I purchased it. Maybe now we'll see it flourish some more.

I had long given up on CAP2, bought into early access ages ago but never got into it. Now I am afraid to get my hopes up. With all these titles announced, it feels too good to be true.

Wow, some hope after 5 plus years having paid into beta. I hope those who bought into it do not have to pay again because I refuse. The developer never once communicated with any of us despite dozens of emails and pleas for updates for years. Very disgruntled about how it went thus far. Maybe Microprose stepping in will keep the developer in check.

In the abandoned state it's been in for eons, It's nothing but a payware tech demo as is, which is not what anyone who paid for the game was supposed to receive.

All you can do is fly around until you're bored. Much of the avionics are not working, no AI to fight, no ground targets or missions. The promised dynamic campaign was never delivered, and the developer just vanished and left the steam forums. The least he could have done was notify his customers years ago that he was taking off on the project. It's not a good sign when this revamp is announced without officially notifying those who bought the beta, either.

There's been no official notice there, just basically a copy of the post here. This is one sim I paid for that left more than a sour taste in my mouth. Beyond pissed at how this project was handled and how they took our money and bailed.
