Just seeing this Mark, and made my contribution from threeedognight email Sir. Hope you and Mark are doing well. Keep up the Great Work. I will try to purchase BOF and BH&H II within this next month. Just haven't had much time for flight simming this summer. Only 7 more years until I retire and become a full time flight simmer!
Do you remember when I bought my copy of OFF back in 2011, and you folks sent me a CD in a case that had been stomped and broken? So the mailing pocket didn't show any external damage, but someone in your team took the trouble to smash the case the CD was in.
So that left an impression, and as much as I liked this sim that one dickish move cost you any further purchases from me.

Barmy OFFer in questionable standing, maybe collapsed in a corner?
My word you have a chip there Lewis. No one purposely sent a bent CD we have sent many all bar around 2 arrived fine. One the CD itself was defective - replaced. One never arrived (sent half way around the world), we sent another.
Someone in our team took the trouble to smash a CD? What the heck are you on about? Why? Not sure what you are trying to make out here what you say doesn't make any sense - what company would do that anyway, like we have some kind of personal vendetta and we don't even know you personally? Our distributors send the packages, and we would replace it if you reported it to us, of course.
Just because the package shows no damage does NOT mean it wasn't bent in transit. Wow.

I'm neither trying to persuade nor dissuade, but I'll mention I work for a very well-known international shipping company. Trust me--you don't want to know how things are treated! I see many packages that look perfect outwardly but sound as if they contain broken glass and nails. Personally, over the years I've had beaucoup audio CDs arrive with cracked/broken cases. A CD case costs a buck or so; I just replaced them.
You said you've not purchased anything from OBD since 2011 but here you are 12 years later, so you must still be interested. If so, you are doing yourself a disservice by not buying any of their products because the sim has progressed light years since your last purchase. And, a CD is no longer required, so there is no case to be damaged by anybody.
Next expansion with the Belgians is going to take some time, I understand...so I just set up a $30 / month on-going donation. $1 a day to help the Great War re-creation continue to grow. Excited to see new details whenever they are ready!
"Only give what you can but consider giving what it's worth"
That's a cool approach Hellshade. Saves having to remember to donate. I have always done impromptu annual donations. I must look into your suggestion.
Cheers
