Great video... but, nah... not for me. I'm still patiently waiting for the F-4...

Since the F-15 is just about my favorite jet and the whole reason for my getting Flaming Cliffs then DCS in the first place I had to buy it when it first went on presale. What I'm waiting for is for them to bring the F-15c up to DCS standards. I know it probably isn't going to happen, at least not very soon but I can hope and dream. I definitely will be getting the F-4 when comes out.

I'll probably pick it up, why not it can join the ranks of all the other aircraft I have that I simply don't have time to learn.
I look forward to seeing its icon on my main screen while I decide between flying the AV8B or the KA-52.

Yup, I know that feeling all too well. I bought the MiG-23 module about 4 years ago and I've put maybe 5 hours of time into it.

Some of aircraft I have bought have surprised me. When I grabbed them I expected the chances of flying them were slim, yet they occasionally turn out to be true winners and the ones I fly the most, versus the other obvious choices. The Hind and Harrier were this way, along with the Mig 21.

Mig-21 is quite fast to learn, weapon system wise, and the tricky flying delta wing is a nice challenge. Once you feel confortable, you may have a go at "hot war in the cold". Semi dynamic free campaign, flying for Georgia against turks and azeris, not easy but action packed, to be found on DCS forum.
About F-15E, as a player who most likely already owns F-18, I can see two reasons to buy it, multi crew with a buddy, and ability to run faster when Migs or Sukhois suddenly saturate your immediate environment 3 to 1 or more while busy on CAS mission.

F-15E isn't all that great for CAS in DCS anyways. No SEAD, no mavericks, no rockets. It does have laser guided bombs, dumb bombs, cluster bombs and an astonishing amount of fuel though.
That fuel is no joke, I tried out the Sinai map and after sightseeing for a while at high speed remembered that I didn't set any bingo on the fuel and I should check it. I found I had 18000 pounds still. That's more than I typically have on take off with the F-18. The memes are when an F-15E refuels the tanker has to RTB.

I fly Coop missions with some friends who mostly fly the F/A-18 and it just seems like they are running low on fuel all the darn time and are barely making it back to base before they run dry. I figure the Super Hornet would make a nice addition to DCS if they ever decide to make that module.

Mavericks are coming to the F-15E and I hear we may also get small diameter bombs which would be an interesting GPS guided solution in a standoff situation. Imagine launch all of them at once, far out from the target...
