So I decided that I really need to upgrade my OS and my Dad who has a free copy of Win 10 finally talked me into taking it, ordered a new 1Tb ssd and decided it was time to clean out the box. Boy it was grungy, full of little brown dust bunnies and the fans may need to be replaced, just gross. So I hook everything back up and now I have 8.00GB (3.96 usable) RAM wth? I go through the whole thing reinsert the Ram, change slots no dice. I ran CPUZ and it asks for an update to a newer version and Bam I got a Trojan (*MF'rs) so don't use that anymore. One of the RAM sticks gives solid beeping the other reads 4GB so I ordered new RAM as well but, I really hate 10 so I'd love any tips for making it more likeable.

I use Open Shell to make it look and feel like Win 7.

Yes, I got that but I ended up taking it out till I understand the OS a little better. Being able to navigate the home screen is a challenge..
