Skipped dessert ?!! That’s just …. wrong. Promise you’ll never do that again.
It’s ok. I have an apple pie waiting for me tomorrow.

Happy Thanksgiving folks. I also ate a little too much though I didn't eat but a small can of soup for lunch to make ready for the big meal. I only had one plate but maybe some of you do like myself and make use of that vertical space above the plate. Then there was the early morning turkey snack.

Went with a prime rib instead of a turkey this year👍
Nothing wrong with that. One of my uncles does that when he hosts it. As for me, we did steaks this year. It's delicious, much simpler, and a whole turkey would have been overkill.
I must be immune. Zero sleepiness yesterday, despite a monster plate. Perhaps if one eats turkey year round they build a tolerance to this effect. I use the meat ground as an alternative to beef in many dishes.

That sounds plausible to me. I'd say about 90% of the turkey I eat on a yearly basis happens on Thanksgiving and a couple of days afterwards (leftovers).

I had my Thanksgiving lunch at work yesterday. I ate so much I wasn't hungry again until late evening.

It will be a Cuban Thanksgiving so no turkey but pork instead!

Yes they are quite good but difficult to get one if you don't live in South Florida.

How many of us here eat turkey outside of Thanksgiving and Christmas? It's just not a very common daily meat for most Americans.
