Jerbear,

Didn't your mother tell you that being outside during a thunderstorm is dangerous?!!

Even worse, you appear to be flying towards the lightning bolt! Have you no sense?!!

Well, all I can add is that they took away all of our sense in Canada some time ago and humored us with the release of loonie's and twoonies to supplant them!!

I flew with Esc. 7 for awhile. The plane looks as good from the cockpit as it does from a distance. Well done Mr S.

Jasta 1, feb 1917.
My second kill : as usual, I sneak behind an ennemy plane and assassinate it.
I avoid dogfight and abort my attack if there is a small risk.
I am not a knight of the air, but a murderer !

Great shots guys.

I am flying a 180hp Spad 7 (thank's VonS wink )

First encounter : Rumpler CIV:

I damaged one enemy planes but was wounded by the rear gunner.

Two were seen diving with smoke, and "probable".

Then, we encountered Fokker DrI:

Using boom and zoom tactics, I chased one and filled a claim report:

Excellent pics Jeanba and others - keep them coming. Busy with work currently but hope to fly soon and post some screenies. The 180hp Spad 7 is a good aircraft and sturdy in a dive - also slightly more maneuverable than the Spad 13 variants, although I don't advise prolonged turn-and-burn fighting with it. Also watch landings with it since it has a fairly long roll, much like the 220hp rare variant.

Happy flying,
Von S smile2

The Fokker DrI is a sitting duck against a properly flown Spad 7 180hp
I would say that the DrI is a "camel killer" or Hanriot or Nieuport 23/24/27 killer : it seems to have been specially designed to kill them

I'm currently 50 missions into a career currently flying the Roland CII.....it's good fun. I've managed to bag a few kills, the latest of which was a BE2c.....over the lines south of Arras salute

So, we take off in ten minutes, we're in the air for twenty minutes, which means we should be dead by twenty five to ten.

After 86 missions flying the Roland CII I've managed a transfer to Jasta 1 on 23/08/1916.

On my first mission I came across a BE12.....who, by the time I'd finished with it, had become 4 BE3's instead....... boom
