"Take the cylinder out of my kidneys, The connecting rod out of my brain, my brain, From out of my arse take the camshaft, And assemble the engine again."
Haha good old Monty Python,it sums up how daft us Brits are
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.
Only a flesh wound. LMAO! That is exactly what I was thinking of when I wrote that. Didn't think anyone would get it honestly. "Come back here you bloody buggar, tis merely a Flesh Wound! I'll bite your Bloody legs off" And don't forget, The Killer Bunny & The Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch!!!
So last night I was flying in my 1918 German campaign - with Bruno Stachel in Jasta 34b. The campaign gives you a very good taste of how unpleasant it must have been to be a German flier at the end of the war.
During the mission, we engaged a flight of French Nieuport 27's - which seemed to hound us for several missions. As we attacked, they dove for the deck and as I rolled my Pfalz over to chase him through the clouds, I had one heck of a flashback.
The first attachment is a screenshot I snapped of the intro video to Red Baron II/3D from back in the day. I've probably seen this intro 10,000 times by now.
And the second is a snap I grabbed as we descended through the clouds. I distinctly remember playing RB back in 1998 - when I was 15 years old - and thinking "man, how cool would it be if games looked this real one day?"
Well, it looks like that day has come - and then some - as the screenshot of my mission looks better than the cinematics from back in the day!
Thanks Gentlemen. In this one I manage to perform a high diving attack on a trio of BE2cs. The first pass against the flight leader was remarkably lucky. I think the only reason that my wings didn't rip off was because I was in a DII with II style wing struts instead of the V shaped ones. I won'tr be doing anything of the sort if I live to fly a DIII.

Great first pass on that unlucky BE2c! Those rear gunners were not very active were they?
Are you using a cloud texture mod of any kind? Your graphics look like they benefit from gloom or some kind of light glow shader effect.
I use the WOFF UE Optional Couds 1.06 - Panama Red Fog Option and 4L0M CoudMod_2k mod. I also use WOFF Weather Additional Types Mod by Panama Red. They really do a wonderful job. I don't use SweetFX.
Hellshade
Low, slow patrol through Archie over Allied territory. Love the immersion!
Hellshade: I found that using the 2k clouds mod increased "cloud popping" for me, so I disabled it. I only mention this since you said you had a lot of "cloud popping".
