HI Mr Moderator,
I think it's time to take this forum down. The blog is gone, the facebook page has not been updated for a year. Sad to say, this project is dead.
Sorry to see it go, I had high hopes.

I agree that it is looking pretty bleak, which is indeed sad.

+1 There was also a post in their forums, while it was up that the whole project is now DEAD! Sorry to say, I also had very high hopes for this, was the reason for purchasing Track IR and Combat Pedals.

I don't post on here much now but saw this post and decided to reply. Here's the website that I created for the 'old' Combat-Helo before it was resurrected several years ago... Flyboy's Combat-Helo Tribute Site http://digitality.comyr.com/flyboy/chelo/You can also find links on the showcase page that I created for the 'new' version of the sim... COMBAT-HELO Showcase Page http://digitality.comyr.com/flyboy/chelo/showcase.htmlSome of you may also find my brief blog interesting, about my time on the dev team... Combat-Helo Blog http://digitality.comyr.com/flyboy/chelo/blog.htmlIt's sad to know that this project is just about dead. I had high hopes for it too, and in fact the only reason at the time that I purchased my current laptop all those years ago was so that I had a system powerful enough to beta test the early demo that I had access to.

It's a petty to see this project dying.
Isn't there any possibility of Flexman sharing (publically) the Combat-Helo source code so that someone with enough skills could eventually pick it up and finish it?

No Combat Helo still didn't have a working dynamic campaign but still it had a functional Apache Longbow helicopter (and models) with working MFDs, with a flight model implemented, and some weapons implemented (gun, rockets and even Hellfires if I'm not mistaken), etc...
Or resuming from what I've seen, Combat Helo at the current stage looked "better" than many helicopters games that have been released.
Also from what I see if someone wants to develop a (new) Apache simulator, that same someone would have an easier life by having access to the Combat Helo code than having to design the new game/sim from scratch.
But this is only my humble opinion, obviously...

Where did I say that if the Combat Helo source code was made available that I would be able or that I would want to take any part on that game's further development?? I'm not disputing that completing Combat Helo would take long and many efforts to accomplish. However what I'm saying is that having a source code such as the Combat Helo one, would help developing an Apache game/sim (whether it's new or whether it's combat helo itself). I really don't know why do you need to be so harsh and sarcastic and why the idea of sharing the Combat Helo source code seems to bother you so much??

Wow, I didn't know that you could speak for or that you represent the entire humanity! The funny thing is that I even agree with a few of your points (such as the great work thealx has been doing with EECH) but the way you post your opinions (namely on your first post) are really off. However there's one thing I do agree with you at 100%: This discussion is futile!
