Thanks, this is a very nice setup! I sure do like the 2 extra hats you get on the FighterStick as opposed to the CombatStick. When I bought this stuff, I could not conceive needing more than 6 hats. Thanks again for sharing this, it will certainly help me get set up. I was a little surprised to see how similar our setups ended up, the main difference was where you have 'full stop' and 'coolant shot' is where I had "center legs" and torso, so maybe the new positioning will help me remember to use the coolant!

One thing I did do different (since I have buttons where you have hats in 2 places) was map specific buttons to "fire group" for groups 1-3, so I can fire the weapon groups independently.

It would be best to have 3 weapon groups ready to fire without switching if you can map that. Some of the best heat control comes from firing smaller groups in a certain order instead of alpha'ing all the time. Not to mention, on some mechs it's nice to map your right hand main weapons (or left) so you can fire out of cover without exposing the entire mech. Especially true on the Stalker where you've got most lasers on the arm pods.

The trigger fires the selected weapon group, which is usually the primary weapon (HBK-4H AC20 for example), while the "launch" button fires Weapon Group (X), where X equals a dynamic weapon group based on the mech and weapon load-out, so it's different based on both mech and load-out selection. If there are more than 2 weapon groups to choose from based on my weapon group selection, the weapon group highlight option is pretty quick as access the the hat is convenient. So, for example, the primary weapon for my HBK-4H is the AC20, the secondary weapon group consists of 4 small lasers, and weapon group X is a TAG for easy access. So, I switch between weapon group one and two via the weapon group highlight function based on the situation, while the launch button fires the TAG laser, regardless of the primary weapon selection.
