Again, cranking up around 9 CST, some with come and go based on time zones. Hop on SHQ TS server.
What's the plan and what are you bringing?

Got 3 I'm going to stop messing with and hold for tomorrow night. I'll stick with my main Stalker unless we need the LRM's on the Atlas or something faster with the Cataphract.

It was fun to do a couple of drops with Kludger, Mojo Flow, and Raw Kryptonite last night. I had been playing for an hour before I found you guys. I'll just have to remember to check the SimHQ channel next time.

I'll try and get on around 9:30 or 10:00 PST tomorrow night and see if anyone is still around for a few games. I've been using my Dragons a lot lately (1C, 1N, 5N) so I'll probably ride in one of those. I have a HBK-4H (w AC20), HBK-4SP, RVN-3L, or RVN-4X I can run to change things up as well.

If I can make it, it will be later on.

Will probably run my Dragon, and Jenner if we need spotting for LRM's.

If I have a chance, I will tweak my Raven-3L a bit and give it a go.

I'll be there, my typical rotation consists of my Cataphract 4X and Awesome 9M.

Been staying up entirely too late with this one lately, certainly on Tues.

I'm bringing my spanking new 0 miles new Cataphract CTF-3D "poptart" sniper which I spent my weekend bonus piggybank 12M cr on, bought it with the specific purpose to be able to find and eliminate all SplatCats ... hate those things, they always seem to sneak up on my Atlas hehe.

Smurfy Link: XL300 2xER-PPC 1xGauss 2xJJ

Besides learning how to drive that I'll also fall back to my usual Wang and Atlas-D 2xUAC5 2xLL

What's a SplatCat? Some variant of the Catapult?

SplatCat = 6 SRM6 beast.

I hate the thing, and generally don't like seeing cheesy builds like it.

Great games last night and an excellent turnout!
I think overall we had 10 show, coming in/out as they could. Rather than recruit for an 8 man squad we decided to split into 2 groups, coming back together later as numbers dropped. Even then we did some rotation to keep everyone playing in the squad. It's nice to have the mechlab to play around in while rotating, but still listening in on TS. If we could broadcast, one could sit out to record. Maybe they'll give us a way to do that one day.
Several new players to the group, hope to see everyone again. We probably have around 15+ now between the two game nights we've had, more with those that couldn't make it yet.

Agreed, fun night.

It works really well for me to be able to join in 'late' and still hop in to play with everyone.

I have some video I will post up in the screenshots forum soon.

Hopefully see everyone again next week!

Good times last night. I might have to get a headset or something so it's a little easier to talk with you guys. Holding down CTRL and leaning in to my laptop's mic is a little distracting in the heat of battle... biggrin

Anyone here is welcome to team up with my group of guys at any time when I'm on if you want during the rest of the week. We're a bunch of old farts that have been playing MechWarrior since the dawn of time (well, some of us at least). I'll have to hop on next Tuesday.

So I bought the Cataphract 4x last night but never could build it til I quit for the evening. I have to get a screen shot but here are the specs: (special thanks to Brennus)

4X: Jishin (earthquake)
full armor
245 engine (this may change)
2x UAC 5
1x AC 5
1x ML
Endo
DBL HS (might be pointless)

So when we stopped, I put it together and did one PUG drop. 2 kills 2 assists, survive, ~600 damage, ran out of ammo (D'oh)

2 kills were two relatively fresh Atlas's. Pounded them...this thing is a beast. I will drop with it for a while now.

Are the Auto Cannons good? I thought projectile weapons were useless.

AC's are my favorite weapons (especially the UAC5 though it does jam if you don't wait for spooldown) they are very much useful especially close up for brawling boom
