I'm quite looking forward to playing it, that's for sure. Anyone here get one of the founders packs?

I was a big fan of MW2 and played it online a good amount too, I've played MWLL a good bit too, looking forward to this but the prices scare me a bit to tell you the truth and I will try it in F2P before committing that much money to it.

If you are talking about the founders program then that is planned to end on Aug 7th.

Yeah the fact that paying $120 for the "Legendary" founder's package only gets you 3 months of "Premium Account" scares me as to what the prices will be like for premium account...
I know there are many of us longtime FASA Mechwarrior universe fans out here and probably lots of gamers that have great memories from the other MW games so they probably have a pretty good potential customer base, but if they are expecting to cash in on WOW type monthly service fees right off the bat, there are a ton of other MMOs that have tried and failed going down that road.
Glad there is a F2P option so I can test drive it and see, I have big hopes for this and just hope it turns out to be terrific and my worries misplaced.

I too am a long time Fasa Mechwarrior fan from the borad/tabletop days. I love the franchise and some of the fluff. However i also share the same sentiments over the F2P genre as all the F2P games i have played whilst enjoyable for the short time are quite devoid of depth and longevity. So i am interested in how this will pan out. However for me, a founders pack is out of the question as i will need to get that dreaded upgrade i have been putting off for years (actually its the dreaded discussion with the wife to justify to spend ) I hope the game will be something new, but at the moment its an updated looking mechwarrior (if that is a bad thing) with the same endless squad matchess. Now if we knew more about how the metaverse works, that would be great. Anyway looking forward to it and if i do get (gain permission off the boss for) that upgrade, then there will be a few titles i will have to invest in as well........ Ohhh well, i can always sell a child ;-)

I've enjoyed the Mechwarrior games from MW2, so I'm quite looking forwards to this, especially as I just have a new computer. The videos look fairly impressive, with a lot of need for terrain and teamwork, especially with LRMs. The Free to play aspect has the possibility to be disturbing, but I've quite enjoyed world of tanks (without paying anything), so I'm not writing it off! I hope they have something other than team deathmatch/capture the flag. Even something like one team attacks, one team defends, would be a good change.

Why wait to play it when you can play Mechwarrior Living Legends, now?
It's awesome and there's no reason to not play it.

I play MWLL and I have several friends of mine who are in the Beta who say this is going to be an epic MW game. I also bought a legendary founders pack. I had a bit of extra coin laying around.
Ahh CLOD never in the history of Simming has so much been promised and so little given.
However I want to thank Team Fusion for keeping the Dream Alive.

Ive been in contact with the Guys from PGI and let me tell you. They truly do love the battletech lore and are doing there best to make it one of the Best Mechwarrior games in recent memory. I paid the 120 for the Legendary Founders and truth be told I would do it again just to support the guys at PGI

120 dollars to play this game?! You've got to be kidding me.
