The hotfix has been added. I only fly single player; do I still need the hotfix or is it an online phenom only?

I think it applies to all.I too only play single player and the first time I tried out 4.11 it crashed to screen. First time in years for me. Have now downloaded hotfix and will try it out tomorrow. Thanks to all involved with continuing development.

If I read Team Daidalos' descriptions correctly, the hotfix corrects a bug in the code that is executed when the AI attempts a certain kind of evasive manuever. If you have AI in the mission, you'll need the hotfix.
Good news: it's a tiny file.

If I have just installed IL2 1946 and the "factory patches" can I go right to Daidalos v4.11 or do I need to install the previous Daidalos v4.x patches?
Thx

You'll need the incremental patches. If you start IL2:1946, the version number is displayed at the bottom edge in red. If you have 4.09, instal 4.10 next and follow the numbers. The right sequence has been posted in other threads today. [EDIT] http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3497417/Re_is_the_new_patch_a_stand_al.html#Post3497417

Does anyone know if the Enjoyr Patch(es) can be applied to a 4.11 installation?

DO these patches enable 6 Degree of Freedom w/ TrackIR? I'd thought they did, and have installed all the patches to IL1946 that the recent article suggested. Not getting the ability to zoom in/look forward & lean backwards in the cockpit though

I can move the head position backwards and forwards, but it doesn't zoom in. That's still 6 DoF. Forward movement is very limited though. Was there maybe a key to loosen the harness?

Is there a specific upgrade path that needs to be followed? I installed 4.11 over 4.09m and get Crash to Desktop, even after the 4.11 hotfix is installed. Thanks in advance, looking forward to the new patch!

Hardly surprising considering that you missed 4.10 totally.

Anyone know where I can find a 4.11 patch that is not corrupted. Have downloaded the 4.11 patch from here and it stops the install with a bunch of corrupted files. Tried 2 other sources I googled from and get thew same problem, and talk about terribly slow downloaded. Taking all day. Brings me back to my dial-up memories.

The patch here should be OK but try using Free Download Manager to download the patch. It will give you Pause - Resume, keep your connection up, and verify download integrity much like a BitTorrent. It took me around two hours to download the patch so depending on your service it might take longer. You can always check http://www.speedtest.net/ for a current and pretty accurate measurement of your network bandwidth, if you're having issues.

Found out my Comcast cable modem went out. Had them test it this morning and had to run down and get a replacement. Now that I back up to above T1 speeds will try again.
