Here is a link to my own personal photo's taken during the conflict. Also includes the surrender signal, and surrender document of the Argentine forces on South Georgia.

Thanks for putting those up, Buccanneer.

I visited HMS Bristol as a young lad (probably early seventies) somewhere in Bristol docks.

Can't remember much except being disappointed that having boarded at the stern I could not walk to the bows since the deck was not continuous. Also thought it funny that there were street names inside.

Cheers!

Morning Vitesse,

Yep, still stay in touch. We have our HMS Bristol reunion next month in Portsmouth.

HMS Bristol is now the harbour training ship alongside HMS Excellent, Whale Island. She is the last remaining warship that took part in the conflict.

With regards to all the passageways having their own name. When I first joined, and was finding my way around, I do remember "There & Back Again Lane" !

Cheers
