Yes, they were introduced after Mannlichers in 20ties. Mine was produced in 1938. Unfortunately it fires just blank rounds now, but at least no special permission is needed for it yet.

A scene from the Don Cherry movie, me (in the back ground in the off white jersey) and another extra decided we'd make it look like we're fighting for the puck as Don Cherry lines up Ron Ellis for the 'two bit player hits the million dollar player' scene.
