A hero, in every sense of the word. I can honestly say that I aspire to be as much like Richard Winters as possible. He is, in my opinion, one of the greatest men ever to have graced this planet with his presence. Not just one of the greatest soldiers, but one of the greatest men in general. I played the Band of Brothers theme now, and shed some tears. Rest in peace Richard Winters
In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

RIP Major Winters I read his book "Beyond Band of Brothers", and of course "Band of Brothers", plus have seen the TV show several times. I believe I would have gone to hell and back with that man had I been there.
I refuse to buy a flight sim that I have no interest in playing, on the off chance that MAYBE someday they'll make the one I really want to play.

S . He lived a long life. What is sad in his death is that these WW2 heroes were the link to history , to the struggle for freedom and against barbary.
