I discovered the comic books of Romain Hugault this year, and have bought all four of them. He is a young guy who makes some simply AMAZING colour drawings in his beautiful comic books. Here's his blog: http://romain-hugault.blogspot.comHe prefers to draw WWII airplanes and hot women. What is there not to like? - Oh yes, maybe one little thing: the text is in French. Well, if that is a problem for you, there are some amazing drawings to enjoy Cover of his latest comic book. A story involving the Heinkel "Uhu" night fighter: Another pic of the Uhu: http://bp2.blogger.com/_D-ZPngekkGI/SH2roasS2hI/AAAAAAAAAPU/XKw8XUO7ugY/s1600-h/uhu2.jpgThese are his albums so far: http://www.paquet.li/paquet/auteur.php?id=172- They contain some wonderful artwork of all major WWII fighters and some rather less-known planes as well.

Ill take 2 please http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_D-ZPngekkGI/SR_wI4IsGoI/AAAAAAAAAZo/ZrKjhP61brY/s1600-h/Mon+Grand+Duc.jpg I also liked liberatores RanXerox in the old heavy metal mags ( the style was a bit more R , probably PG nowadays...) http://www.taninoliberatore.com/galerie.php?id_type=3There is a new french artist who does comics thatgoes by the name Bengal, but he is more into sci-fi and mecha stuff, Hugaults stuff is very well done , any comic that has a caudron racer has to be AAA+ PS Kami, after japanese, wouldnt french be a piece o gateaux?

Klong! *my jaw has just hit the ground*
So many thanks for the heads-up for this real artist! I have always loved the Uhu - she's so beautiful - that a comic book focused on her, with such outstanding images is more than I could have ever dreamt to see without the consumption of genetic altered grass.
