It's become quite obvious that things are getting somewhat heated in here.

From this point on there will be no more bashing people or threats.

I haven't been here for long enough to be placing blame on anyone. This is for the best. I want to make it perfectly clear that no one person is being singled out.


Feel free to argue your points all ya want folks. But, please try to do it without attacking each other.


No one wants to come here and have a bad time. We plan to do whatever is needed to make sure they don't.

Any more threats and bashing will be deleted and/or the person will be referred to an admin for dismissal.

the problem isnt the posts...its the fact that folks feel compelled to try and educate someone.

I know how heated these arguments can get. Especially with all the resources out there. They conflict and so will we.


These debates don't mean someone is a bad person when they're wrong. They [debates] hardly ever prove anything either. In the simulation of flight there are so many variables that cannot be modelled.


I know alot of good things come from them though. In the Il2 boards we have made some pretty spectacular changes.


We (I think I just may get into this sim after seeing the site) can get some pretty good work done here if we try to get along. After reading some of these posts I can see some of you have alot of time invested in this era of flight.


What we need to keep in mind is if we don't agree we need to respond in a decent matter. Hitting the preview post button can really help alot. We all get mad, we all are wrong, and sometimes right. Making enemies won't help anything. There's no reason we can't argue without getting nasty.

After some time I imagine the boards will calm down some and I won't have to be editing all the time. Right now a few of the people in here are angry. Let's just start from here with a clean slate.

This site's members have made this a great place to hang out and talk our talk. I don't want to see it degraded to a slugfest that I've seen many boards turn into. I don't want to see people dismissed either. But, if it has to be done, it will be.

So I'm judging everything from yesterday. So far it's not been that bad.

Threw out all the 3s, Es, and Ws

There were 2 groups here:

1. Those that wanted KOE to be in SDOE's Image; Limited Map, small number of aircraft, a snapshot in time.

2. Those that wanted KOE to be in the image of RB; large map, large number of aircraft, a long protracted war.

Since group 1 came out on top, we must now wait another 10 years for a successor to RB.

1 year of flying is not a succesor to RB. Inserting multiple CD's is not a successor to RB.

In order to fly 1915 to 1918 using KOE, I'll be waiting, again, for the other CD's or patches to get done, a minimum of 4 years.

......And there's no guarantee we'll even see them.

3 , who already have a current WW1 software, came here, and coerced those of us who don't to accept far less than what we wanted.

Had those 3 people been locked out when it became clear they had an agenda, the RB'ers might still have gotten what we've been waiting on.

Thanks to 3 , who already have a current WW1 software, I'll be 45 before I can fly an Eindekker in KOE.

......And that's a conservative estimate.

And now, as I type this, they want RB'ers to pay 60 bucks for a third of what RB had?

......In your dreams!!

Rb'ers that are in their 60's now must wait until their 70's to get a complete sim to fly, and your wondering ?

.....And you'd be surprized how many RB'ers are 60 or above.

And now, those people remain, so they can gloat over their victory.

There is a slim possibility that KOE may get an extension. This would give them the time to give those of us who have waited so long a worthy successor.

I didn't come here screaming and whining "SDOE has this and this, and we want KOE to be just like SDOE" or "SDOE is FAR better than KOE!" or any such thing. Just show me the post where any one of us did that... Now I do seem to recall a person on this board asking about the SDOE WWI mod, and FlyXwire kindly informed him and displayed some screen shots. THAT'S IT!!! I've seen you do the same thing with RB3d so GET OFF MY BACK ABOUT IT!

Days ago I became totally ambivalent about answering to personal attacks, and the supposed claims of my magical powers to influence Aspect in their creation of KOE..........it's all nonsense, and I don't care to waste my time with it anymore.

If the as yet unpublished game is not what he wants, which is not reasonable for a first release, then the blame should be laid at Aspect's door. Not Argon's. Not Binky's. Not mine.

It is Aspect who is responsable for what the game has or not. Embrace that. Live with it. Accept it.

It is beyond anyones comprehension why that is so difficult to understand.

I refuse to sit and take such a public beating with no rebuttal! It's almost like admiting he's right in a way... I will not stand (Or sit, as this case may be ) for it... Every out-landish personal attack he makes, I will respond with logic and reason showing to the community and himself how much he doesn't make any sense... :rolleyes: And each time he attacks me personally for no apparent reason, I will e-mail the SimHQ staff. Calling others "jerks" isn't going to be tolerated. Disagreements are fine...that's what a forum is for in a certain sense. But calling others names is no way to get one's point across.

you had a theory about the input and importance of rotary planes which the vast majority of people me included disagreed with.

Could I suggest that a certain whole group of people who don't all agree with each other just stop discussing what was said before and take things from here?

At least two of you think that if you stop first, the other guy "wins" with one saying the other "won" but still seems to think something is to be gained by repeating about it. And another pushing for banning the one he don't like.
