How far we've come. I remember painting a/c for RB, literally pixel by pixel in some spots, and painting in the shadows of the upper wings, tailfeathers and lower fuselage on the fuselage. Very static. And now we have the magic of Ankor.

Now there is a old school skinner speaking from experience
We added 'occlusion' to areas close to structural joints, such as wings to fuselage, tailplane/fin to fuselage etc. This was done by adding a darker 'shadow' at the join areas. Again something now redundant with the advent of the shaders.
