Ace,

if you just plonk it into your system folder you will need to register it too I think... I quote here from a page on dll and ocx problems....

"Registering controls

To register an OCX type at the command prompt
regsvr32 whatever.ocx

To unregister an OCX type at the command prompt
regsvr32 -u whatever.ocx

You can also add right click context menu items to OCX files to perform these operations. It is convenient to use the free File Association Editor, whose help file details the registry entries required."

perhaps that may be the problem

cheers,

Hi New Ace.

Here is a copy of my XP Pro, SP2, comct232.ocx file. There should be a copy of this file in your Windows System folder, and Windows System32 folder.

All you should need to do is simply drop the file into your folders, and the program should run. This problem used to be a common one on Windows 98se, but this is the first time I've read about it with newer OS's

If you have other problems, make a note of the missing files, and pop them into your search engine. There are loads of sites where you can download missing Dll and OCX files for free.

Standing by to start on 3dz questions. ;\)

I have one.

Why would anyone in their right mind start editing 3dz files?

Surly, then, we have a Catch 22?
