Hi there.

What is the basic difference between the VA and VX series of LCD monitors?

Looking at either the VA905 or VX912 specifically.

hi matt,

i just got a viewsonic vp930 (19'' lcd) which uses MVA lcd technology, and am very happy with it. most monitors using MVA/PVA technology are a not the fastest in specs( 10 to 15 ms) but usually are the full 8 bit colour.

the typical "gaming monitors" mostly use TN technology, which is faster but only has 6 bit colour depth.

you can notice those differences once you know what to look for, and i returned my first 2 19'' lcd's i had bought because i thought they were very poor in quality for general use (both of those were fast samsung monitors with TN screens)

do some reading and find some reviews on lcd monitors, because the quality/performance difference can be huge.

Thanks. Unfortunately, the VP930 is out of my price range.

I would be happy with a 12ms screen.
