That's a very cool screen Roy, hope to add it to my collection when you can upload it somewhere.

Are these "rotating" mainscreens, Roy?
That is, do they change while you watch, like the little aircraft screens at Sandbagger's?
They are very nice--and could have a background as well.

With Jim McGarvey's help, I made the black box at the right transparent so only the titles show.
And changed their names in "Magoo".

Wudy,

Rotating.. no, but that is a great idea.. Unfortunately beyond my graphics ability.
This is my best graphics work so far.
However they do give some insight to what is in my mind, as well as on the board for the future.

No I did not draw them of course, (someone back in the WWII days did, but they were filled in and haven't been seen like this in many years) but did have to make some redraws by hand and a lot of little fixes and removing dots.
The Lanc took me 4 hours as it was a mess. I did make the props for it.

I removed a ventral turrent that was shown for it, because although I read it was installed on a few it was very rare.I've never a pic with one and AFAIK there are none still in existence. The windows you might note also I left in.Those alone were rare enough I'm not even sure if they did exist. All I can think is maybe an Air Marshall had one or else it was just the artist for the Air Spotter Card was directed to do so as the Lanc to a civilian might look like a familiar airliner?
These cards are by probaly not all correct (I am by no means a WWII aircraft type expert either so I don't know) but then again they were done by someone would had to draw it from something back in the day.So who knows.. maybe you can find a few features forgotten in time?

They are much better than these pics show, but you have to wait for Mike to post, after all I don't want to give the whole show away before I get a chance to get a few more off the line!

Ask Sandy about it. He's a real pro on these special presentations.

Ray & Woody,

What you're thinking of is called an animated gif, just get
10 or 20 images all the same size and background colour, get into
Photoshop, jump to image ready, load all images into layers
and save the final file as a .gif. I made some for Mike for use at
Tally Ho using aircraft profiles.

If you use the same subject in different poses or angles you create
basic animation here's one..

rgr Flying Tiger,

The problem is EAW will not load it.
Now it did get me to thinking there is a way to make a nice pseudo animation;
Since the EAW mainscreen rotates the colors it could be done by making vairuos plane positions and filling the line colors to slightly different shades from the white shades blueish like some of the present colors on these. That way when the color rotates you would seen the different pics that would be emphasized, and by using the lightest shades it would not distract from the main line drawing overall.
Maybe once I get more time I will try that.
Presently I am booked for time between what I want to do already on some EAW related projects, upcoming 1.28 final touches and beginning the 1.3 codework.
I am doing these mainscreens as a side distraction and graphics learning phase since I have the materials to make screens which are related to 1.28 work and later the 1.3 will need a lot of new work and ideas thrown into it.
The 1.3 of course will allow much more facility since Sydbod's research presently shows that we will have complete modern graphics to all screens and no longer be limited to EAW's present 256 color screens. That will also solve the 7217 error once and for all (but it will be many months before that happens).
