How do I make the canopy text readable? I can't remember anymore and I don't have enough time to scroll through the forums because I haven't done my homework yet

NoSubTitles - when 1 (default), radio comms subtitles are displayed onscreen; when 0, subtitles are not shown (much better );
not configurable in IL2Setup; either use a 3rd party util or edit conf.ini in a text editor

TexLarge - when 1, enables hi-res textures; set independently for D3D and OpenGL; can be set/unset using the "Detailed Terrain Textures" in IL2Setup; affects not only terrain textures, but textures of some aircraft too (but not all aircraft have hi-res texture versions)

Hmm... Didn't work or I remember wrong since the text on the canopy(yellow part) is still unreadable.

Actually NoSubTitles=0 is the default and will display text messages. If you want to turn text off use NoSubTitles=1

Still I don't understand what Stuka means with "canopy text" ??

Doh... did I get confused by this setting again..
In practice you almost never use flags that have negative meaning (if i was writing this app, i'd use a subtitles=0/1 flag... case insensitive, too )

Stuka:
I think you mean the HUDText (the yellow text), don't remember what it's called exactly (at work now), but it is located *very near* to NoSubTitles..;
I get the impression you'd like to change the text colour... well you can't afaik; you can just toggle it on/off
