This is the first of three new aircraft previews. These three parts will show just how versatile Strike Fighters is. Our journey starts at the end of World War Two:



You may have seen this one before: The excellent model was made by RussoUK2002, who's fast becoming Strike Fighter's resident 3D modelling legend! The skin is P-47N-1 44-88211 Lil Meaties MEAT CHOPPER of Lt Oscar Perdomo, 464th Fighter Squadron/507th Fighter Group, Ie Shima, August 1945, Lt Perdomo was the last "ace in a day" of the USAAF. This is an original skin of mine which replaces the modified MSFS skin.

This plane just looks OUTSTANDING! It looks as good as IL2FB, I am IMPRESSED! You guys are pros...

Well, I wouldn't go that far:






...but they are not bad at all.

I don,t know if it,s the screenshots,but she looks a bit out of proportions,too short and fat(haven't tried the plane in SF yet).......especially the hood,again it might just be to blaim on rezising the screenshots?
I see you have a paintproblem with the frontend of the tailfin?
I have the same with the A-4 needs remapping to solve that.........something i,m a long way from mastering.........
But it's great to have 1 sim which is about to cover almost all postwar era's of aviation!!!

man the all the planes in I, II and III just look fantastic!

Well,I think that for just a few months of using 3ds max from scratch ,it aint that bad.
As regards to proportions...it may be a wee bit "fat" fuselage height wise..only slightly tho..and how long has the modeller who made those for IL2 been doing it?

I'm just the skinner, RussoUK2002 is responsible for the great model.

And remember this is an N version, has different dimensions to a D model.
