Hello,

Col.Gibbon, the reason for your error isnt runtime file related!

Its what the error say, a path dont got found!

The reason is a missing 'music' folder next to the EAW.exe!!

I thought OAWselect.exe create it by its own, but seems like this function got lost somehow.

To fix this, simply create a new empty folder(in your EAW folder), called 'Music'!!

Dumo, you need to include this folder into the installer!

Sorry for the mess!

Hello,

Sorry about....
BUT..if you install EAW full you have a music folder.
So it's no reasons to put a music folder in the installer and will not make it...it's useless...
Follow the guidelines and all is good....
Of course I'm not a blind and unconscious ...
Before post the OAWunified installer..I installed the full EAW(patched1.2) on a Win98SE HDD...and run the installer..and all was good.....!!!!
Remind this basics..
When you install EAW full you have the music folder created...and the savedata folder...
After runningg once you have the EAW.INI created....

Military regards.

Dean,

this will be the biggest OAWunified D/L!

Smal is more 'basic' related, actually i dont know where the smal comes from. lol

All following D/L´s (if they come) will have max the size of 1 x terrain, 1 x Skinset + some other graphics, but i think most addons will be new onlinemissions, some of them based on the existing, so new Skins and Terrains are not needed, only some new homebase/target locations + a Autoscript.

The current OAWunified include enough stuff to play for years without to fly the same plane and setup very often!!

At least for me the real fun 1st start, when i know to handle the plane i fly and when i know the area where i fly. Only then constructive games are possible!

What most here do since some years is like to buy a new game every day(monopoli, chess etc), open it, read one time the rules, put it onto the table, play two rounds, then pack it away to buy a new game cause, now the old got boring cause we know how it looks like.

Iam sure most people here never did learn to play EAW (online), like it could be, cause they always use a different plane, a different missiontype a different FM etc, so they never get used to one of this and so they never get good in one of this, before using a new.

There is more on the picture than the eye can see!

Of course this is ok, we are a free, i only can suggest to stay with only some of the already 'boring' setup´s, only then you can find the deeper and (please believe me) much more exciting fun!

Greetings,

Hello,

As usual...ppls like complicate all at the max..
I'm very furious with this kind of behaviour..who have made so bad things for OAW....
Plenty useless posts...
I will repeat.....

FOR use the installer....
PLEASE.....
Made a new full install of EAW....
Run once a mission.
Patch it to version 1.2
Run the installer.
It's all...no more..and all will run very good...
Made a other processus if you want...but please not stuff the forum with useless posts....
Or if you want it's easy for us to made a installer full EAW-OAWunified...but it will be a huge file...no probs for me....

For Ralf,

I seen really not a reason for put a music folder in the installer...if you have allready one filled with the originals musics coming from the FULL install.
Instead I agree to put some additionals musics folders in a bigger installer...

EDITEd:
For the ppls who have little space on HDD I will remind you the "Movie.cdf" file of 37kb to be used instead the very big original file...
Just replace the "movies.cdf" original by the small...Of course you will not see more the movies..!!!
Available on Sandbagger...search it please...!!!

Oki ..the Janders page no more exist...
So temporary the small Movies.cdf is here for D/L :

h**p://www.raf-roy.com/share/dumoulin/Movies.cdf

I will send it to Sandbagger for lost and found page.....

SECOND EDIT:

I will not begin again argumentations or endless blind exchanges posts with ppls who don't follow the simple instructions for run the OAWunified.exe.
So far..this proggy was installed with no probs at all by;
Watson
Knegel
Jelly
RAF_Dumoulin (XP and 98)
RAF_Japlou (XP)
RAF_Cramslovack (XP and 98)
Col.Gibbon (98)
Sydbod
tip87th
Blue_Da_Magppie
Sightinboard
Pobs(Lemke)
those ppls have just followed the simple install instructions who show in the install process of OAWunified.

I just will remind you...
This theatre is for report bugs and malfunctions of the OAWunified....and no for report bad installations.......

Military regards.

Hello Col Gibbon,

I don't see any sign of genius in a ppl who install correctly EAW....
Or..if it's necessary to be a genius to install this old simple game from 1998????
If yes...what are those who install IL2-FB???...sons of Einstein..maybe??

Military regards.
